Group essay topic: Some companies believe that social media marketing strategies should be
prioritized.

I. Introduction
Topic: Social media marketing should be priotized.

Thesis: Take advantages of both customers and businesses.
Controlling idea: customer attraction, product improvement and cost efficiency.

II. Body paragraph 1


Topic sentence: social media attract both consumers and customers as well as strength the
brand identity.

- Social media is considered a potential and profound market and plays a hybrid role in terms of
marketing strategy in any companies due to the big data and the large number of users (4.48)
- Example of successful firm due to using social media marketing:
L'Oréal- A big French cosmetic in the world.

• Topic sentence: Improve the quality of products though the customer’s feedback.

Main point: - it is very crucial for enterprise to ensure and enhance their quality items and
services from customer’s feedback.
- Consumer-generated brand stories or the feedback of customers shared on social
media always have a significant impact on that brand
Example: Kia Motors has been successful in promoting their brand by using the “best car
manufacturer in 2012” reward and thousands of positive customer reviews.

Main point: social networking is less expensive than any other form of advertising currently

Refutation part:
1. Body paragraph 1 : The benefits of using social media to attract customers and
consumers outweigh its risks. Due to the controversial opinions from various customers,
the corporation can use it as a basis to change and orient the quality and scale of
products in a better direction. Understanding the importance of social media, Vinfast has
also taken advantage of social networks to popularize its brand and attract customers.
On Vinfast’s official page, the seeding volume of this brand obtained a positive result

when receiving up to 90% positive feedback from Facebook’s users. Besides, when asked
about Vinfast, up to 80% of respondents know the brand and look forward to launching
automotive product lines in the domestic market. (MISAAMIS, n.d.)
2. Body paragraph 2: The failure to respond to many customers' demands can be seen as
understandable and acceptable. Although the brand can not fully meet the needs of all
customers, they can choose similar views and shared ideas to absorb and change their
products. This proves that the counter-argument is not convincing enough to oppose the
topic sentence.

3. Body paragraph 3: But compared to traditional advertising, using social media to promote
their product still saves a lot for the company. Social media marketing is effective, but it
is also more cost-effective than other marketing methods. According to author Jason
Yormark (2021), the cost to run social media marketing depends on a lot of different
factors as follows: Your company's size (companies with more employees often spend
less than those with fewer employees, likely because large companies also have more
name recognition). With TV and radio, you have to consider the spike in prices during
peak times to advertise. While there are many ways to prove social media marketing is
more effective than conventional marketing, the cost to operate is also one of the
indispensable factors.

The
provides the information and reinforces knowledge about social media
strategies (SMMSs). The author and others first define SMMSs social media and marketing
strategies elements. Following that, a conception of the SMMS development process is
presented and drivers, inputs, outputs, throughputs are the four main basic components.
The writers also put forward a classification method that categorized SMMSs according to
their level of strategic maturity: social business plan, media content plan,social
surveillance strategy, and CRM strategy. They then put their classification to the test.
Material from previous research studies, as well as material from in-depth interviewing and
a study, are used to establish SMMSs. Finally, the writers make recommendations for
future research based on their findings. Through this article, we can better understand
social media strategy. Although this article will not be the foundation of my part, it will
provide the critical knowledge and information for my offering a higher essay.
