3. SUMMARY OF THE COURSE
The international law of the sea is the couthathich not only provides
students with the basic knowledge about the boundaries and legal status of
maritime spaces but also provides students in-depth legal knowledge
related to exploiting and using sthe ea. These are issues such as joint
fishing cooperation, delimitation of sea between countries with opposite or
adjacent coasts, protection of the marine environment... Through this
course, students will also grasp the mechanism of solving dispute
settlement by the provisions of The United Nations Convention on the Law
of the Sea 1982 and the practice of resolving maritime disputes between
Vietnam and other countries in the region.
The course consists of 7 main groups of issues:

2. Baseline in international law of the sea;
3. Maritimes space international law of the sea;
4. Delimitation in international law of the sea;

5. Joint exploitation in international law of the sea;
6. Protection of the marine environment in international law of the sea;
7. Dispute settlement mechanism under The United Nations Convention
on the Law of the Sea 1982.
