HOÀN CHỈNH
Introduction ( Mở bài) : 1 sentence

The topic (In your own words) - Giới thiệu chủ đề (theo cách của học trị- tuyệt đối
khơng viết lại đề).
Overview ( Tổng quan) : 2 sentences

The main trends/ significant figures – Các xu hướng chính/ số liệu nổi bật
“Details” paragraph 1 ( Đoạn chi tiết 1): 3 sentences
“Details” paragraph 2 ( Đoạn chi tiết 2): 3 sentences

Significant data points which illustrate the main trends (not every detail)- Các dữ liệu quan
trọng nhằm minh họa các xu hướng chính (khơng phải mọi chi tiết)

STEP 1:
Analyze the question, under the key vocabulary and try to rephrase them. ( Phân
tích đề- Xác định từ khóa- Tìm phương pháp và từ vựng paraphrase): 30
seconds-1 minute

STEP 2:
Work on the overall summary (overview)

STEP 3:

Decide how the date can be grouped into paragraphs
Planning-Brainstorm key points for the answer, look for the following:
· Beginning numbers
· Ending numbers
· Highest points
· Lowest points
· Data series that overtake other ones
· Period of fluctuation or stability
· Sudden changes of increase or decrease
· Comparisons or similarities

STEP 4:
Write the task using different sentence structures ( Viết theo cấu trúc) : 12 minutes

STEP 5:
Proofread the task (Dị lại nhằm sửa lỗi ngữ pháp, chính tả, từ vựng): 1-2 minutes

INTRODUCTION ( MỞ BÀI)
Chúng ta phải paraphrase( diễn giải) lại đề bài đã cho theo cách riêng của mình, thay

synonyms cho hầu hết các từ có sẵn trong đề bài.

CẤU TRÚC
1/ The given line graph/ chart illustrates the number/ amount/ percentage of
(topic) measured in (place/time).
· Given có thể đổi thành provided
· Illustrate (minh họa) có thể đổi thành compare (so sánh)

- Changes in the…: sự thay đổi trong…
- Striking differences in…: những sự khác biệt trong….
· The number of (số lượng)

= the figure for (số liệu) = the quantity of (+ danh từ đếm được) = the
amount of (+ danh từ không đếm được)
Hoặc đổi thành:

- The demand for = the need of: nhu cầu
- The consumption of = the use of : sự tiêu thụ
- The rate = the percentage = the proportion of: phần trăm
- The majority/ the minority of: phần đơng/ phần ít
· Measured= estimated= surveyed=examined=studied ( được tính tốn, khảo

sát)
· Đối với “Place”, tuyệt đối khơng viết lại đề bài mà đổi như sau:

Country = nation (quốc gia)
Region = area (vùng)
Lục địa, người ta cho Asia/ Africa/ Europe đổi thành different continents

· Đối với “Time”, đổi như sau:
Khoảng thời gian: From…to…= between…and…

= Over /during the period of 25 years

= Over a 25-year period
= Over a quarter of a century
= Over 25 years
= Spanning 25 years

= In the year 1999
= Throughout the year 1999
= In the last year of 20th century
= At the end of 20th century

2/ The given line graph illustrates how many/ how much + S+V (topic) +
