(Đảo Oak (Cây Sồi) ở Canada là một trong nhiều nơi trên thế giới được tin là đảo giấu vàng. Người ta nói rằng kho báu
được cất giữ ở chỗ gọi là “mỏ vàng”. Những tên cướp biển được cho là đã chon kho báu đó nhiều thế kỉ trước. Câu chuyện về
mỏ vàng đó có từ năm 1795, khi có báo cáo về một thanh niên địa phương đã ngã xuống một cái hố dưới gốc một cái cây to.
Người ta tin rằng anh này và một người bạn đã khám phá ra những dấu vết của kho báu trong cái hố đó. Người ta cịn nói 2
người này đã tìm thấy một chiếc hòm đựng vàng sau một số lần đào bới tìm kiếm. Tuy nhiên, trước khi họ có thể mở chiếc
hòm ra, nước lũ đã ngập vào đầy. Kể từ đó, người ta tin rằng rất nhiều nhóm người săn tìm vàng đã đến kiếm tìm kho báu đó.
