Many people dream of living in a foreign country. It can be an amazing experience for those
who have the courage to leave their family and friends and settle down in a new place. (26)
,
there's one potential problem you should be aware of: culture shock. Culture shock is the feeling
we get from living in a place that is so different from where we grew up that we are not sure how
to deal with it. Customs and traditions can be very different and that can sometimes make it (27)
to get on with local people and to make friends. They might not approve of things you do or might
object to things you say. You might even be banned from doing things in another country that are
(28)
legal in your own. If you were to move to a country such as Singapore, you might
find some of the laws very strict. There, people can be forced to pay a large fine just for dropping
litter. Eventually, though, most people (29)
live abroad fall in love with their
adopted country and learn to accept its differences. It does require real courage to make such a big
change to your life, but (30)
people agree that it is worth it in the end.

The Red Wolf (Canis Rufus) is the most endangered of all the wolf species. It has a smooth
reddish coat, a silver-grey forehead, long ears, and long legs. They are similar in size to a German
shepherd dog.
The red wolf belongs to the Canidae family, which includes wolves, foxes, jackals, coyotes,
and domestic dogs. Red wolf packs usually contain between 2 and 10 members.

Red wolves eat smaller ground-dwelling animals such as rabbits and rodents. They also hunt
together as a group in order to catch a larger animal such as a deer. They communicate by howling,
scent-marking, facial expressions, and body movements.
Red wolves inhabit forests, wetlands, coastal prairies, and mountains. They make their dens
in hollow trees, stream banks, and in sand knolls. The female red wolf gives birth to a litter of 4 –
6 pups. The pups are born blind and are nursed by the rest of the pack until they are able to hunt
for themselves. They will either remain with their parents or leave to start a pack of their own.
Today, about 50 red wolves exist in the wild and about 200 live in zoos and breeding
facilities. Predators of the red wolf include wolves, coyotes, and humans.

Over the last decade, there has been rapid growth in Vietnam’s energy industry. The demand
for electricity in Vietnam has significantly increased along with its overall economic growth.
According to the national data, the average daily electricity consumption was 615 million kWh per
day in the first few months of 2020, an increase by 7.5 percent compared with 2019. Although
many sectors and businesses were impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, the country’s electricity
consumption still rose.
Vietnam has been impacted by pollution and climate change so it requires the country to
reform the power sector and adopt an effective transition to a renewable energy system. This shift
would help reduce these problems, ensure energy security, and meet the growing demand for
electricity of business activities and economic and industrial development.
The Vietnamese government adopted the Renewable Energy Development Strategy by 2030
with an outlook to 2050. The plan focused on expanding “the scale and increasing the proportion
of renewable energy sources,” solving “the issues of energy supply to the urban area,” contributing
to promotion of production development, and building “a society which effectively uses the
environmentally friendly natural resources.” Vietnam aims to unconditionally reduce its
greenhouse gas emissions by 8 percent by 2030.
The Vietnamese renewable energy market has also risen gradually. Under the Vietnamese law
on investment, foreign investors can incorporate 100 percent ownership of Vietnamese companies

in the energy sector and can trade in different types such as 100 percent foreign invested company,
joint ventures or public- private partnership and BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer). Moreover,
Vietnam has adopted flexible policies for renewable energy in recent years, particularly paying
attention to the solar and wind energy projects in the country.
The country has great potential for the renewable energy industry, which helps it take a cleaner
and more secure energy pathway.

correct answer to each of the questions from 31 to 35.
Many children have music classes when they attend school. And it is thought that music can
help them learn other subjects better. Research has shown that it can improve children's
performances in certain subjects.
Some studies have shown that music training can help you understand your own language
better. It could also help you with learning a second one. Moreover, young people who have studied

music also seem to get higher scores in other subjects like maths. So it could be that these school
subjects are connected in some way.
Music also helps you think of new ideas and believe more in yourself. If you are learning the
guitar, for example, it can be really exciting when you are able to start composing your own pieces
of music. One of the biggest benefits, of course, is that listening to music can reduce your stress.
And composing music can make you feel the same way. Maybe your musical knowledge will even
open up a great career path for you in the future!

Read the following passage and mark the letter A, B, C, or D on your answer sheet to indicate the
correct answer to each of the questions from 36 to 42.
When it comes to ambition, no two people are alike. Every class has its outstanding students,
every company has its wonderful employees, and every family has its successful members. Then
there is someone who is happy with whatever life brings. So what makes us different?
A person's desire to succeed depends on so many factors. He or she may have goals, but
without the ambition to get started, they never take the first steps to achieve them. Similarly, those
with an ambition but no clear goals tend to begin many projects, but do not ever follow them till the
end.
Although there are not any strict rules about how to teach "ambition” or what decides it, many
successful people do share some things. Most scientists agree that it helps to have parents who
encourage the children to try new experiences, praise their successes, and accept their failures. In
those families, kids often have much higher confidence levels. They know how to set goals and
keep trying until they achieve them. Money also plays an important role. Those who are not very
rich often want to earn money. It forces them to work hard all the time and improve their life.
However, the desire for success can create its own stress. Working too hard to achieve success
can lead to illness. These days, even teens and young adults are feeling the stress. Trying to get into
good colleges and find good jobs have forced high school students to study harder than ever. For
many, it is difficult to find the balance. One solution may be to get together with family and friends,

and do the things we enjoy. Most would agree that those values are far more important than any

wealth or success.

Read the following passage and mark the letter A, B, C or D on your answer sheet to indicate
the correct answer to each of the questions.
What makes people give money to charity? One reason is altruism, the unselfish desire to help
other people and make the world a better place. For example, religious institutions receive the
highest percentage of donations in the United States. Colleges and universities often receive gifts
from successful graduates who want to widen educational opportunities for other students or
support research on an issue they feel is important. Hospital and medical research organizations
are often supported by donors who have been affected by a medical problem, either directly or
through the experience of family members or friends. Many donors give to causes that have
touched them personally in some way. Charitable gifts can also be made for reasons involving
personal interest. Under U.S tax law, an individual does not have to pay income tax on money that
is donated to charity. For extremely wealthy individuals, this can mean millions of dollars they do
not have to pay in taxes to the government. In addition to tax benefits, donors often receive
favorable publicity for making donations, and they have an opportunity to influence the world

around them. For instance, new buildings at colleges and universities are often named after
important donors, which means that they will be remembered for their generosity for many years
to come.

Read the following passage and mark the letter A, B, C, or D on your answer sheet to indicate

the correct answer to each of the questions.
Do you know where the most expensive house in the universe is located? Some might guess
Hollywood, where some of the richest and most famous movie stars have their homes. Others might
think of New York City, where a one-bedroom apartment in Manhattan can cost more than a
mansion in the suburbs. But they would all be wrong, because this is a trick question. The most
expensive house isn’t even properly located on Earth. It’s the International Space Station (ISS),
which is circling in orbit above us right now. The cost to build this engineering marvel, which is
roughly the size of a football field, is around 150 billion dollars.
Many different governments cooperated in order to plan and build the ISS, including the
USA, Russia, Japan, Canada, and Europe. Creation began in 1998, after the countries decided to
band together and merge their space missions to create the ISS. Many countries used their
spacecraft to deliver the parts for the ISS, little by little, into space. First came the operating systems
and hardware. Then, two years later, a Russian rocket delivered the living quarters (complete with

beds, toilets, and a kitchen) that would make the ISS habitable for humans. Over time, more space
missions to the ISS added new parts to the space station that would make it easier for astronauts to
come in and out of the station.
Space travel and erection of spacecraft are two of the most expensive projects a country can
take on. And while some people on the space station project think it’s a good idea to charge money
to space “tourists” in order to provide more funds for the project, others think that it does not align
with the original purposes of the ISS. But the fact is, no country or individual can afford the giant
price tag for this important space “house” alone, so they must keep working together.

correct answer to each of the questions from 39 to 43.
For many American university students, the weeklong spring break holiday means an
endless party on a sunny beach in Florida or Mexico. In Panama City Beach, Florida, a city with a
permanent population of around 36,000, more than half a million university students arrive during
the month of March to play and party, making it the number one spring break destination in the
United States. A weeklong drinking binge is not for anyone, however, and a growing number of
American university students have found a way to make spring break matter. For them, joining or
leading a group of volunteers to travel locally or internationally and work to show problems such as
poverty, homelessness, or environmental damage makes spring break a unique learning experience
that university students can feel good about. Students who participate in alternative spring break
projects find themvery rewarding. While most university students have to get their degrees before

they can start helping people, student volunteers are able to help people now. On the other hand, the
accommodations are far from glamorous. Students often sleep on the floor of a school or spend the
week camping in tents. But students only pay around $250 for meals and transportation, which is
much less than some of their peers spend to travel to more traditional spring break hotspots.
Alternative spring break trips appear to be growing in popularity at universities across the
United States. Students citea number of reasons for participating. Some appreciate the opportunity
to socialize and meet new friends. Others want to exercise their beliefs about people’s obligation to
serve humanity and make the world a better place. Whatever their reason, these students have
discovered something that gives them rich rewards along with a break from schoolwork.

Except for a few unfortunate individuals, no law in this world can go against the fact that for most of
us our family is an essential part of our lives. The moment you enter this cruelworld, where each man is for
himself, there are some near and dear ones out there who will do anything to ensure yourhappiness.
We are nothing more than a vulnerable and fragile object, without someone taking care of us on our
arrival in this world. Despite all the odds, your family will take care of your wellbeing, and try their best to
provide you the greatest comforts in the world. No one out there, except your family must forgive the endless
number of mistakes you may make in your life. Apart from teaching you forgive and forget lessons, they are
always there for you, when you need them the most.
Family is the only place where children study a lot after school. In school, teachers teach children
about the subjects which will help them to find a good job in future. But at home, parents teach children
about good habits. Theyare not only the elements which help the children to shape their personalities but
they also prepare them a suitable and bright future.
A good family makes a greater society. Father, mother, and children have to work in order to build a
strong family. If any one of them fails, the whole family may collapse. The good name of the whole family
can be ruined by a single member of the family. In order to avoid that unhappy scenario, every family

Green pass: how are Covid vaccine passports working for Israel?
As the UK and other governments consider whether to give Covid-vaccinated people a certificate
that allows entry to bars, hotels, and swimming pools, one country, Israel, has already deployed its
“green pass”.
The state of 9 million, which has administered jabs to half its population, released an app a week
ago that shows whether people have been fully inoculated against the coronavirus or if they have
presumed immunity after contracting the disease.
Malls and museums have reopened for all, but green pass holders get exclusive access to gyms,
hotels, theatres, and concerts, albeit with some limits. Indoor dining in restaurants and bars is due to
be included in the green pass scheme next week.
Life has not got “back to normal”, but it appears to be on its way. Street-side shops are reopening;
hotels are accepting bookings; even live music is reemerging from its long slumber. And while
masks remain mandatory, many older people who have already been vaccinated have stopped
wearing them outdoors.

The primary attraction of snorkeling is the opportunity to observe underwater life in a
natural setting, such as coral reefs, fish, starfish, and mollusks. Other organisms that can be seen
while snorkeling include various forms of seaweed, jellyfish, shrimp and sea turtles. Snorkeling
requires no special training, only the ability to swim and to breathe through the snorkel. However, it
is considered advisable that one get some instruction from a tour guide, dive shop, or equipment
rental shop, any of which often can be found around popular snorkeling locations. Instruction
generally covers equipment usage, basic safety, what to look for, and what to look out for, including
how not to damage fragile organisms such as coral. As with scuba diving, it is always

recommended that one, should not snorkel alone, but rather with a friend, a guide, or a tour group.
Swim fins used in snorkeling are usually longer than those used in diving. Snorkel is a tube
about thirty centimeters (twelve inches) long, usually J-shaped, fitted with a mouthpiece, and
constructed of rubber or plastic. It is used for breathing air from above the water surface when the
mouth and nose are submerged, either when snorkeling or during a surface swim before or after
scuba diving. The snorkel usually has a piece of rubber that attaches the snorkel to the outside of the
strap of the diving mask, as sticking the snorkel in between the strap and the mask could cause the
mask to leak, or risk losing the snorkel should the diver choose to switch to scuba.
Typically, the diving mask also serves to prevent breathing through the nose, so that one is
forced to breathe through the snorkel. This also provides some negative pressure which helps keep
the mask sealed against the face, though attempting to breathe out through the nose can break this
seal and fog the mask.
