Abstract. This paper examines the opportunity of using mobile phones for
teaching and learning mathematics, specifically for supporting students self-study.
A pedagogical model was designed that integrate an interactive mobile website
aimed at investigating the mobile phone as a learning tool in the mathematics
classrooms. We found that the use of the mobile phones environment encourage
students to learn at their own pace and preferences. Further, the research findings
indicate that students have positive attitudes towards self-study guide system on the
website.
