APS 1st Grade to Ballethnic Dance Company at the
Morehouse College Chapel
About the Experience: Urban Nutcracker
Ballethnic Dance Company is recognized as a trailblazer in the field of dance in Atlanta combining
classical ballet with ethnic dance forms. Their special ballet, Urban Nutcracker, celebrates 19
years as a full-length ballet. Created as an ethnic twist on the classical ballet, Nutcracker, this
ballet provides opportunities for children and professional artists of color to express their artistic
talents and cultural diversity on a main stage. It was founded to show the rich history of Atlanta
and particularly African-American culture.

parking garage.
Special Instructions:
Bus Information
Buses can park at venue. Bus drivers will drop-off the students at the chapel and pick them up
after the event. After the students are dropped off the buses will park at West End Mall.
Chaperones
Please seat yourselves amongst the student group. After the performance, we will ask that all
schools remain seated until they are dismissed by the Morehouse Chapel Staff. We will dismiss
them as their school buses

Visitation Norms
This is a stage performance. Upon entering the theater and during the show, please keep noise
and distraction to a minimum.
