Managing Organizational Decline


Organizational decline is a condition in
which a substantial, absolute decrease in
the organization’s resource base occurs
over a period of time.
• Causes can include:
1. Maturity (life cycle issues)


2. Shift in consumer tastes or in the
economic health of the larger community
3. Increased competition
