INTRODUCTION
The purpose of education in universities and colleges is not only to provide
theory from books to students but also to train them through the real work
environment to create a new workforce for society. In addition, proficiency in
English skills is even more important because we live in an increasingly globalized
world. English has become an international language, and is becoming increasingly
essential for those working in the marketing field to develop the language skills to
respond to customer requests. For that reason, Thuongmai University has built its
student learning pathway with an internship course. This is an opportunity for
students to review their knowledge, improve their own skills and learn new things
in practice.
As a senior student at Thuong Mai University, I had the opportunity to apply
my knowledge in practice, practice and improve soft skills during this internship.
During more than 1 month, I have worked at Intech Investment and Technology
Joint Stock Company and have had a lot of useful experiences.
I am very grateful to teachers of English Department - Thuong Mai University
as well as my managers and colleagues in Intech Investment and Technology Joint
Stock Company for their help and support to complete this report.
I look forward to receiving the teachers' suggestions and help to make my

1.1. Formation and development of the company

INTECH Group was established in 2012, after nearly 10 years of
establishment and development, at present, INTECH has a total of more than 100
engineers, masters and managers, headquartered and showroom in Hanoi,
manufacturing factory in Bac Ninh and Ho Chi Minh City branches and its
subsidiaries in specialized fields related to cleanroom and factory solutions. Being a
unit with many strengths in direct design, construction and distribution
representatives of reputable manufacturers, with modern equipment and materials
factory, INTECH can advise customers on the best solutions, best delivery time and
after-sales service at reasonable costs.


In 2018, INTECH GROUP has become a leading TECHNOLOGY AND
INVESTMENT COMPANY with the core of "Distribution Unit" belonging to "TOP
LEADING IN VIETNAM", with outstanding products and customer services,
network international network, effective operation and brand name that customers
are proud to use.
The company has two branches at 89, TX21 Street, Thanh Xuan Ward, 12
District, Ho Chi Minh City and 42 Nam Cao, Hoa Khanh ward, Lien Chieu district,
Da Nang. The company also has an AERMEC factory located in Lot CN08-3, Yen
Phong MR Industrial Zone, Yen Trung District, Bac Ninh.
1.1.2. Vision and mission of Intech Group
* Vision:
Determining the goal of striving to become a "pioneer" at the forefront in the
field of "Leading technology solutions", IntechGroup has been striving to become a
large and successful company that not only succeeds in the S-shaped country, but
also develops widely overseas markets.
Over a period of construction and development from 2012 up to now, Intech

Group has become a reputable unit in many business fields.
- Provide comprehensive solutions for building and completing factories,
directly designing, directly constructing in the form of turnkey.
- There are many clean rooms for electronic components factories, partners of
LG, DELL, SAMSUNG, and GMP pharmacy clean rooms, hospital clean rooms, ...

- Design, assembly and construction of electrical systems, air-conditioning,

engineers to meet all the essential requirements of the job.
 Product quality: With the motto "Product quality is the decisive factor that
makes the brand", therefore, each product is created and delivered to the contractor,
INTECH always checks product safety and quality of products right after
completion at our factory.
1.1.3. The leaders and organizational stucture of Intech Group
Intech Group has a fairly tight organizational structure. According to the
business sector, the group is divided into subsidiaries. Companies will be divided
into different departments according to functions and duties.
The leaders of the company:
The company has a leadership team with extensive experience and skills in
staff training and management.

 Director: Director is the operator, the development orientation for the
company. He is also a manager, making key corporate decisions. Not only that, the
director is also the person who will represent the company to sign contracts with
partners.
 Vice- director: Vice Director is a person who helps the director in each aspect
of the work assigned by the director and is responsible to the director for his
decisions. The Vice Director has the right to replace the director to handle the affairs
under the authorization of the director and must report the affairs resolved to the
director.
 HR department: HR department will conduct recruiting new staff for the
company through candidate search activities, conduct interviews, contact with

candidates, prepare applications and procedures for probationary candidates. They
must also prepare employment contracts, social insurance, and implement
remuneration for new employees. In addition, they also conduct an assessment of
the capacity of each employee, thereby serving as a basis to propose promotions and
salary increases.
 Accounting department: The accounting department will promptly and fully
account all assets, equity, and liabilities; Financial revenue and expenditure
activities and business results are in accordance with the company's internal


regulations, ensuring good service for business activities. They need to plan the
company's business and financial plan.
 Business department: The sales department has two main divisions:
construction sale and commercial sale. Sale and installation receives customer
information from the marketing department, exchange customer care to know their
needs and wants about the upcoming project. They then work with the design
department to design and quote the project and then give back to the client. After
the customer is satisfied, the construction sale will prepare the contract, sign it and
hand it over to the construction department. In addition, commercial sale will sell
the equipment for the project through the investor or main contractor.
 Marketing department: The marketing department is the first contact room
with customers. They will be responsible for building and promoting the image and
service of the company.
1.1.4. Comments on Intech’s organizational structure
The company follows a functional organizational structure in which
hierarchical roles are divided according to business functions. Although operating in
different fields, the departments always support each other when needed. Especially
when there is the direction of leaders, their working efficiency is higher.
In the 4.0 era, for a growing company, it is advisable to consider
organizational structure. Due to the expansion of the business, the company has

more and more employees, which makes it difficult to control personnel, so the
organizational structure of the company needs a flexible change to suit
development.
1.1.5. Customers and partners
Intech has a close relationship with major partners such as Vingroup, Viettel,
FPT, ... It is both a customer and a close partner with the company over the years.
In addition, the company also cooperates with Trane, LG and Daikin air
conditioners. In particular, Trane is the closest partner from the very first days of its
establishment

INTECH Technology and Investment Joint Stock Company is a consultant,
design, and construction consultant for factories, factories and warehouses for many
prestigious fields across the country, domestic and foreign partners. They always
actively innovate and strive to catch up with the development trend of the country,
with the desire to bring the best service and product quality to customers.


1.2. Information about the internship department
Marketing department is the bridge between inside and outside, between

products and customers, between product attributes and customer needs and is
responsible for:
 Collecting and managing customer information and customer records as
prescribed. Information about the income, customer information management to
serve the customer rating, evaluation and reevaluation of customer records.
 Advertising brands, products and projects on advertising websites such as
google, facebook, youtube, ..
 Preparation for the company's programs
 Taking notes from construction work, company products and programs


CHAPTER 2: INTRODUCTION ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROCESS AT
THE COMPANY.
Starting from December 14, 2020, I conducted a five-week general internship
at Intech Technology and Investment JSC. With the permission of the company, I
went to the company on Mondays, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
weekly, specifically in the morning from 8h00 to 12h00, afternoon from 13h00 to
17h00. During this period, I went to the company to learn about the characteristics,
functions, tasks, the operation situation of the company, participate in some of the
assigned work at the intern.
2.1. Internship activities.
2.1.1. Assigned tasks
- Week 1: Read brochures about the company, find out its main fields and
services.
- Week 2: Find out English documents that customers and partners request to
translate
- Week 3: Try doing product advertisements on the company's web site
- Week 4: Prepare outdoor activities programs for staffs and interns in the
company
- Week 5: Practice translate the text into English customers

2.1.2. Self-performing tasks outside the company's assignment
- Learn about internships through referrals and the Internet
- Set up a specific plan for the internship process
- There is an enthusiastic spirit to learn and absorb knowledge that is realized
in the company.
2.2. Difficulties and lessons during the internship period.
a) Difficulties:
First, as many students who often lack of working experience, I didn’t have
any experience and background knowledge in this area. As a result, I wasted a lot of
time to do research and learn about related knowledge and skills.


Second, my English is limited, especially about the company's services. Many
times I have to spend a lot of time looking up the dictionary or on the Internet to
complete the assigned tasks
Third, my communication skills are still poor, so I often feel a lack of
confidence when working.
Final, because I didn't have work experience, at first I felt quite stressed about
the amount of assigned work. I was exposed to a lot of new vocabulary related to
the company's services so I was a little surprised.
b) Lessons:
- To improve knowledge during 4 years studying at Thuongmai University
with the enthusiastic guidance of teachers and colleagues at the company.
- To improve communication skills.
- To exposure to many important vocabulary related to the company's services.
- To learn so many crucial skills in dealing with customers and how to deal
with their difficult requirements, and the way to working with staffs.
- To learn some good things like my powers of concentration, initiative,
positive attitude and independence.



CHAPTER 3. OBSERVATION REPORT
3.1 The practice of using English in the company
Currently, English is gradually becoming a global language. Therefore, not
only Vietnam but other countries also attach great importance to learning and
practicing in English.
As a company with many important partners, the training of skills and
vocabulary is indispensable. In addition, English is also used in correspondence and
email transactions between employees and management when they are away on
business trips. Documents, invoices, emails dealing with customers are in English.
These are valuable opportunities for employees to access and improve their
language skills.
Intech Group has recruited many employees able to use English fluently in
both writing and communication skills in order to understand the contract, draft a
contact, talk to clients or partners, … However, the English level of the employees
in the company still has many shortcomings. Most of the vocabulary related to the
profession, people still need to look up the internet or dictionary to complete the
job. It makes people a habit of lazy thinking and relying solely on the Internet.
Moreover, some of the older staff in the company have weak English skills,
hindering the process of dealing with foreign partners. Besides, speaking skill of
some staffs is also on pre – intermediate level. They have difficulties in speaking
English due to lack of confidence, lack of professional vocabularies.
In general, most of the employees can use basic English but the company still
needs to put more efforts in equipping its staff with English.
3.2. Solutions to improve the using of English in the company
Based on the English situation of the staff in the company, I have given some
solutions to use English for them:
 The company should regularly test the staff's English proficiency through
English tests to supplement their foreign language knowledge by taking an
additional course.



 The company should pay attention to the training sessions, sharing of
domestic and foreign experts to improve skill of writing emails for transactions and
reports at work for employees.
 To build a comprehensive plan on training and using English for staffs at all
levels.
 The company should support and encourage the employees with
achievements in the English proficiency test and the employees with high learning
spirit. This will promote the spirit of employees in the process of work.


CHAPTER 4: SUGGESTED TOPIC FOR GRADUATION ESSAY
After finishing internship at Intech Group and through studying at school, I
noticed that the students' reading comprehension skills are still poor. That is why I
would like to suggest a topic for my graduation essay:
"A study on the causes of difficulties in English reading skills experienced by
first year English majors at Thuongmai University."


CONCLUSION
During my internship at Intech Investment and Technology Joint Stock
Company, I have a lot of useful knowledge and experience for myself. Not only
training in specialized vocabulary but also skills such as reading, translation,
writing and communication. The internship is like a big test for me to find out all
my strengths and weakness I have got so far. Thanks to it, now I know what I
should do to better the essential skills for my future career.
Moreover, working in a friendly and professional environment here, I was
supported by all my colleagues and supervisors. I learned from them the seriousness
and dedication to work as well as the enthusiasm and friendliness. Through my

internship at the company, I have felt more confident and comfortable when
exposed to strangers at work. Since then, it helps to increase work efficiency.
In addition, I have recognized the advantages and disadvantages as well as
some suggestions and solutions to help the company have plans to improve the
English level of employees.
Though I still had some curtain weaknesses, I felt satisfied with this internship
since I tried my best to complete all tasks I was given. I would like to thank the
English teachers of the Faculty at Thuong Mai University who taught me much
useful knowledge so that I can apply in my work at the company. At last, I am
looking forward to receiving the teacher’s comments to complete the report.
