Global warming
* Effects:
1. Weather-related natural disasters such as drought and flood, that can kill or injure large number of
people
2. Earth's temperature tise -> reduce crop harvestes globally, which may lead to famine
3. Water source is affected -> water shortages are likely to deley encomic growth and damage
ecosystems.
4. Milion of species in the world disappeared
5. Rise of sea levels -> milions of people lose home and floods increase.
6. Infectious diseases increase. Because disease-causing insects are easy to multiply in hot and humid
weather
7. Air pollution -> affects human health.
*Causes:
1. Burning fossil fuels
When we burn fossil fuels like coal, and gas to create electricity or power our cars, we release CO2
pollution into the atmosphere.
2. Deforestation & Tree-Clearing
Plants and trees play an important role in regulating the climate because they absorb carbon dioxide
from the air and release oxygen back into it.
3. Agriculture & Farming
Animals, livestock like sheep and cattle, produce methane, a greenhouse gas. When livestock grazed
at a large scale, as in Australia, the amount of methane produced is a big contributor to global
warming.
*Solution:
1. Reduce waste and recycle it-> The burning of many types of waste increases the level of carbon
dioxide in the atmosphere, and carbon dioxide is a major contributor to the greenhouse effect and
global warming. So we should choose products that can be reused instead of thrown away
2. Planting trees to reduce global warming-> Trees absorb carbon dioxide, so planting more trees can
help reduce the amount of carbon in our atmosphere.
3. Replace traditional light bulbs with LED lights-> Recycling light bulbs is extremely difficult and
expensive. We can use LED lamps instead, they provide more natural looking light while using much

less energy than other types of bulbs.
4. Buy what you really need and will use. ->Reduce, re-use, and recycle—it’s not just about pollution,
but the strategy will lower your emissions and help combat global warming.
5. reduce energy use everywhere -> It doesn't matter whether you are at home or in your office, the
higher the energy use, the more carbon dioxide it produces. Thus, no electricity is wasted as it
requires burning fossil fuels. As a result of burning fossil fuels, greenhouse gases in the atmosphere
rapidly increase and contribute to global warming.
