How to Fight in Hockey Successfully Sometimes hockey
players lose their cool on the ice andget into a fight with an opponent.
The fights lookspontaneous and unplanned, but there are many
techniquesand tricks that will help a player to be a better fighter. When
a fight begins, the first thing to do is to drop yourstick and gloves onto the
ice. It is always better to punchwith your bare fists so it hurts the
opponent more. Also, it iseasier to grab with your bare hands. Next, you
must rip offthe opponents helmet by grabbing the back of the helmetand
pulling it toward yourself. Once you have the helmet off,the real rumble
begins. From this point on in the scuffle, there are a few very successful
techniques used by the best ofthe pros to win the fight. One very
good way to win is to, first, punch theopponent in the stomach so he
bends over toward you. Next, grab the bottom of the back side of his
jersey and forcefullypull it over his head. By pulling the jersey over
theopposition's head, you make it so he can't see or move hisarms very
well. With the jersey over his head, you can finishthe fight by throwing
the punches that you throw thehardest to your opponent's face and
stomach. Another good technique is to grab the opponent's collarof
his jersey right below his chin with one hand and pull himforeword quickly.
While you slam him forward, use yourother hand to punch him in the
face. This technique hurtsthe opponent the most because his momentum
movingtoward you makes the blow twice as hard as an ordinarypunch.
Continue to use this technique over and over untilthe fight is done. The
opponent usually will not know wherehe is, so it will be a fairly easy fight.
Along with the previous techniques, there are also a fewtips that
will help you out. First of all, avoid throwing youropponent on to the ice.
When you do this, the referees caneasily break up the brawl. Also,
always keep your hands up tobe able to block blows to the face and head
area. Lastly, trynot to pull the opponent's hair. This is considered to be
verycheap in a hockey fight. On a final note, by following all these
tips andtechniques, you will be a good fighter in hockey. When youdo get

into a fight, use these techniques along with your ownstyle. It will be very
pleasing to you and spectators if youhave your own signature fighting
style. Although these tipsand tricks mentioned will help you to fight well,
they do notalways assure a painless victory. An opponent will
sometimessneak in a few lucky punches. Try to avoid getting hit intender
areas such as the nose and eyes by moving your headaside when an
incoming fist comes. In closing, fight smart, and you will fight
successfully.
