The new contributions on academic and theoretical
Research specific activities on renting environmental forest, the dissertation points out
that environmental forest lease is different from forest lease in two aspects: The lease object
is forest environmental services, so rented company only exploits environmental services in a
certain period, the lease does not prohibit the state ownership of the forest .
The dissertation confirms that environmental forest lease should be determined on the
basis of the value of environmental services which has been quantified in practice.
The findings, recommendations from the research results

The dissertation has proposed a new approach in the management and use of forest
resources in Vietnam, which is the identical functions of forests on the economic - social
- ecological aspects. Ecological and social functions must be considered in order to
increase the total economic value of forests .

The dissertation proposes that the exploitation of the values associated with the function
of each forest type, the value of environmental services created from ecological
functions. Forest owners should be benefit from forest functions when conducting lease
and the lessee have to pay for this service.

The dissertation confirms that the environmental forest is a potential value of forests.
However, environmental forest can only be to rented when becoming one of the forest
environmental services. Type of forest environmental services having the potential to
rent in national parks is eco-tourism services, this service is suitable for national parks.
The rental units only pay for services on the basis to ensure compliance with national
park regulations and principles of ecotourism.
