population from the US Census Bureau.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and
make comparisons where relevant.

The two charts reveal the world population and its growth rate did and will change
over a period 1950 to 2050.
It can be clearly seen from the first chart that in the first 10 years from 1950 to
1960,the population was flat at 3 billion before rising to 4 billions in 1970 and
remaining constant at that level until 1980. However, after 1970 and 1980 at 4
billion, it jumped further to nearly 7 billion in 2010 and it is predicted to continue a
stable climb by 2 billion to 9 billion.
As shown in the second chart, although it occupied 1. 5 % in 1950, the figure had a
slight lull then. After the rate followed by a growth pattern that was more varied.In
1970, it abruptly surged to 2%.Considerably, the largest percentage decrease was
recorded until 2010 at roughly 1. 2% and the percentage will plummet until 2050 at
only 0. 5%.
