PREFACE
When the global market expands rapidly in tandem with significant
technological breakthroughs, particularly in emerging and poor nations, logistics
always plays a critical role. Managers regard it as a tool, an essential way of
connecting many sectors in the enterprise's operation and development strategy.
During my studies at the International School of Education under Vietnam Maritime
University, the professors enthusiastically taught, guided, and assisted me in gaining
useful knowledge about theory, hypothesis, import and export, transportation,
forwarding, marketing, and business... as well as learning more valuable
experiences and necessary majors from many real case studies to prepare for my
future actual position.
Especially this semester, the international education leadership collaborates
with firms in the industry, which has helped us approach career realities, giving us a
clearer and more complete understanding of the whole subject. The professors, as
well as visitors from the port, warehouse, and logistics firm, eagerly led us through
each class session, discussion, introduction to the port, warehouse, and company,
and field trips.
This is an opportunity for us to study reality, gain working techniques and
experience, apply what we have learned, and promote our views, among other
things. Despite the short duration of the internship, it was a fantastic experience that
taught me a lot. Global Logistics and Transport Limited Company was presented to
me during my internship. With my efforts, I prepared the summary report
introducing Glotrans's general operations. I'd want to thank the firm personnel for
talking about it and passionately addressing all of my queries. And I'd want to
express my heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Hang Nguyen Thi Le for leading me through

this internship report and resolving my issues.

1.3.1. International air freight forwarding services

1.4.3. FIATA – International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations
IATA, the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations, is a
non-governmental, membership-based organization representing freight forwarders
in some 150 countries. FIATA’s membership is composed of 113 Association
Members and over 5,500 Individual Members, overall representing an industry of

40,000 freight forwarding and logistics firms worldwide.
FIATA is a reference source on international policies and regulations
governing the freight forwarding and logistics industry. FIATA works at the

1.4.4. CLC – China Logistics Club
The China Logistics Club (CLC) is a network specifically set up for the Small
& Medium Enterprise (SME) freight forwarders and logistics companies and its aim
is to assist its members with forging partnerships and conducting business in China
as well as elsewhere.
CLC is an independent and private organization based in Hong Kong which
also manages the African, Americas, European and Indian Logistics Clubs. CLC
also have exclusive CLC Projects division and a CLC Yachts. CLC Training is
another division for the benefits of the members.

1.4.5. VLA – Vietnam Logistics Business Association
Viet Nam Logistics Business Association (VLA), formerly Vietnam Freight
Forwarders Association (VIFFAS), was established under Decision No. 5874 /
KTTV on November 18, 1993 of the Office of the Government. By Decision No. 07

/ QD-BNV dated January 4, 2013 of the Ministry of Home Affairs, VIFFAS was
renamed to Vietnam Logistics Business Association (VLA) in order to meet the
development process of the Vietnam logistics services industry.
The Vietnam Logistics Business Association is a professional associated
organization established voluntarily by the organizations, enterprises and citizens of
Viet Nam which have registered to operate in the freight forwarding and trade
logistics industry in accordance with the Commercial Law with the aim to
cooperate, associate and help each other in developing professional activities,
improving business efficiency and protecting the legal interest of the members and
on this basis of integrating with such activities of professional organizations in the
region and the world in accordance with the law.
