Use your two minutes to talk about what you are required to do. Pay attention to the
suggestions

1. FOOD Describe a popular dish from your region that you enjoy making
When it comes to Vietnamese foods, the first food that crosses most people’s mind is
definitely Pho. It is also the dish that I enjoy making. this special dish can not only
stimulate the appetite of any food lovers but also provide a collection of vitamins and
nutrients. Actually, Pho is not that difficult to cook and it doesn’t take a professional chef
with years of experience to make a perfect bowl of Pho. The trickiest part of making this
food, though, is to find all the spices and ingredients, which. The first step of cooking Pho
is to make the broth by boiling knuckle bones or leg bones. Then, I add thin rice noodles
and either chicken or beef to the boiling broth together with some condiments according to
my taste. That’s basically it. Before I enjoy the pho, just add some slices of chilly and a
few lime drops to increase the tastiness. I think the reason behind the popularity of this dish
lies in its simplicity yet tastiness. It’s easy to make, easy to enjoy and hard to forget.
2. LEISURE ACTIVITY Describe a common leisure activity in Vietnam
At present, people in my country can enjoy more leisurely hours than at any time in the
past. Interestingly, playing video games is a popular leisure activity among the people in
my country. This activity is more popular among teenagers and young people. Usually,
people play video games inside their home and on their personal device. Sometimes, they
play games on their mobile phones and other times, they connect their gaming gadgets to a
large-screen television and play games on their TV. Many young people to play such
games while they are travelling or sitting somewhere outside especially because they carry
their phones wherever they go. Spending too much time playing video games can be
detrimental while playing it once in a while to enjoy and learn could be beneficial. So some
people like it, particularly those who play them, while many parents are worried that their
offspring spend too much time playing electronic games on their devices. Playing games

are a good way of spending leisure time, but it is also true that spending too much time
playing such electronic games are never beneficial as they kill valuable time and dissuade
people from having other important social activities. Personally, I am not against playing
video games, but they should be played sensibly.

3. EMAIL Describe an important email you received
I have received many important emails in my life, and out of these emails, I would like to
talk about an email that I got from my company that I'm working for. The email confirmed
my appointment as an employee with them. It was not easy to get the job since many
candidates applied for the job. That day I got an email and I found that it was from the
company where I was interviewed. It was early November in 2019, and at that time, I was
around 22 years old. I opened the email and read the details very quickly. My heart was
pounding and I felt really good when I found that the email confirms my appointment as an
employee with this company. I read the email again. It was a very important email for me
as I was desperately expecting to work for this company and the email confirmed my
joining there. Secondly, this was the first job confirmation in my life, and I needed this job
so badly at that time. So this was very exciting news for me.
4. ADVERTISEMENT Describe an advertisement you have seen or read that you
like.
Advertising has become an integral part in our lives which may appear on TV, social
media platforms and in real life. Recently, there has been one advertisement which really
catches my attention, and that is the one from TH true milk. This TV commercial is about
milk and dairy products manufactured by the TH company. The word TH stands for True
Happiness which delivers a message that our company would like to deliver happy
products to all customers. This advertisement is broadcast randomly on TV, especially
during golden hours when my family are watching some films or game shows. As regards
the content, TH emphasizes on the main product which is milk produced from well raised
cows. This leads to a common belief that the product provides people with much higher
nutritional values compared to the one from other competitors. Alongside the ear-catching
tunes, the visual effects are principally in blue and white colors that show peace and joy.
To be honest, this advertisement is a nice one for me, but it appears to be quite annoying
during the ad-break sessions on TV since it is repeated quite frequently. I perceive that this
repetition may backfire and lead to countless complaints from TV watchers. Truth be told,
I have tried this product already and found it as tasty as advertised. Thus, I will support the
brand more.

5. ENVIRONMENT Describe a natural disaster you have experienced.
there have been countless disasters happening here in my beloved country, Vietnam.
However, the most devastating one that I have ever witnessed was the storm few years ago

which struck the middle part of Vietnam. A week prior to the invasion of the storm, all TV
channels broadcast the news about it, and the government called for the evacuation of
people living in the way of the storm’s movement. It was really tough to take people out
there within just one week, so the army as well as volunteers joined hands together to
accomplish this impossible task. Luckily, around 90% of the population made their way
out of the region in time. Subsequently, a huge tidal wave crashed down the coastal areas
and swept away all houses and other architectural structures. The volume of water was so
enormous that nothing could remain unharmed under the destructive force of it. This storm
came and brought along the pouring rain for 5 consecutive days, which flooded a vast
swathe of land. After the storm had subsided, the damage was estimated in terms of
casualties and infrastructure. Due to the early evacuation, the number of deaths was limited
to a minimal extent, while no building was intact at all. Immediately, all the volunteers and
soldiers commenced rebuilding houses, saving injured people and providing survivors with
food and fresh water. To summarize, this disaster was the most horrible one to ever
happen in history and jeopardized almost everything. Therefore, I will never forget this
catastrophic event and will learn survival skills to save myself and my family in the future
in case of an emergency.
