The judges enter each staged restaurant in turn,
sampling a starter and a main from the menu, whist
grilling the contestants about their passion for their
cuisine and ambition to set up a restaurant of their
own. As they compete to impress the judges, the
audition showcases the contestants talents and gets
under the skin of each personality, resulting in the
experts choosing one winner to be crowned from the
episode, by declaring their restaurant open.

In o unique format twist, the very next episode captures the reality of the winning restaurant opening in the real
world where hard work comes into fruition. A real restaurant with a real kitchen, real staff and most importantly,
real paying customers. Not only does this episode follow the narrative of the contestant on the new phase of
their journey, but the diners are also made up of actual viewers of the programme who can apply to visit and
eat in the restaurant and, alongside the judges, will form an integral part of the voting process.
With the pressure turned up, the redlity
will follow the contestants as they are
out to the ultimate test. Can they create
the menu, manage the staff, and deliver
food of the calibre that originally crowned
them winners?
After the competitors have been whittled down across the
series, only two restaurants will remain and go head-to-head
in the live final. Delving deeper into the rich and diverse stories
of the findlists, the heat will be turned up in the kitchen for the
final time, until the winning chef, voted by the viewers, not only
takes the glory but the keys to their new restaurant.
