Some of the features and benefits of this system for the university include:

1. Institution Branded Web and Mobile Platform: Institution will be provided with
its own branded web platform and mobile app. Having institution branded web and
mobile platform will augment the brand image of the institution and also give
students and faculty members a sense of personal belongingness and increases its
effective usage.

2. Students and Faculty Information System: The system will help all the students
and faculty members to create their profile. These profiles can be updated manually
by individuals with appropriate rights and permissions. The built-in Artificial
Intelligence of the system will also update the profile based on the users location,
skills, interests, academics, etc.

3. Learning and Campus Management: The system will help institution to enable
digital education with flipped classroom to engage students and enhance education
using today’s latest ICT and mobile technologies, and effective educational
pedagogies. The Learning Management System of the proposed system will
facilitate the institution to:

4. Syllabus / Lesson Planning: The system helps faculty members to notify the
lesson plan to students in advance and help students study at home at their own pace

before the class. Thus facilitating concept engagement in the classroom with the
help of faculty, and improving the effectiveness of classroom deliveries an learning
outcomes.

5. Instant Messaging and Notifications: The system provides an interactive
communication and collaboration platform for students, faculty and the
management members of the institution to send important updates and notification
messages such as Fee Payment, Class Schedule, Exam Schedule, etc., to all or any
specific group of students and faculty members.

6. Online Assessment: The system will allow institutions and the individual faculty
members to create Question Banks and generate Test Papers to conduct online
assessments. These MCQ based assessments can be automated.

7. Performance Monitoring: The students’ performance can be tracked and
monitored from the marks obtained from the online assessments, and also students
can be tracked for their system usage activity.

8. Time-Table and Attendance: Individual Institution can setup and create
time-table for their institution. The faculty can take the attendance class-wise.

9. Grievances and Emergency Contact: The system will facilitate students to
contact the appropriate authorities of the institution for any support or grievances.

10. Alumni Management: The students who complete their programmes will
automatically be marked as Alumni and will be available for the current students

and faculty members to connect with them for any post study support.

11. Digital Library of Learning Resources: The system will include a Digital Library
providing:
• 5000+ curated ebooks, videos and other format of study materials.
• Lakhs of online journals
• Facility for institutions and university to aggregate digital content of various
formats such as ebooks, videos, presentations, PDF, PPT, DOC, etc., from their
expert faculty

12. Online Skill Courses: The system will provide hundreds of free and paid online
skill courses on various emerging areas as per the requirements of the industry.
These online skill courses include online skill courses with certifications from
NITTTR Chandigarh.

13. Internships and Job Placements: uLektz has partnered with many startups,
multi-national companies and recruitment firms to understand their hiring needs
and provide them appropriate candidates for internships and permanent job
placements. Thousands of internships and job opportunities are listed on our
platform, which will be notified to the students based on their location, academics,
interests, skills, etc., using the built-in Artificial Intelligence.

14. Social Learning Platform for Peer Education: The system will help connect
students and faculty members within and across institutions to share knowledge,

About Bharathidasan University

Bharathidasan University established in February 1982, and was named after the
great revolutionary Tamil Poet, Bharathidasan (1891-1964). The motto of the
University "We will create a brave new world" has been framed from
Bharathidasan's poetic words "புதியத ோர் உலகம் செய்த ோம்". The University
endeavours to be true to such a vision by creating in the region a brave new world
of academic innovation for social change.

The University's main Campus was initially located in a sprawling area of over
1000 acres in Palkalaiperur. However, as years passed on, the South Campus at
Palkalaiperur with the available infrastructure was donated to the newly started
Anna University of Technology. Very recently, another portion of the land has been
allotted to the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Tiruchirappalli. Also, the
University has a downtown campus at Khajamalai, which housed originally the
Autonomous Post-Graduate Centre of the University of Madras at Tiruchirappalli.

In addition to the administrative complex, which includes the Vice-Chancellor's
Secretariat, Registrar's Office, Finance and Examination offices, most of the
academic departments and research laboratories are located in the main
Palkalaiperur Campus. Among the academic units in the Palkalaiperur Campus are
Schools of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Basic Medical
Sciences, Geosciences, Social Sciences, Marine Sciences and the Schools of
Languages. In addition, the Campus also has the Central Library, University
Informatics Centre, Hostels, Staff Quarters, Health Centre, Canteen and others. The
downtown campus has the Departments of Economics, Social Work, Computer
Science, the Centre for Remote Sensing, the UGC-Human Resource Development
Centre (Formerly UGC-Academic Staff College and others. Besides these, the
Bharathidasan Institute of Management popularly known as BIM (adjudged as one
of the top business schools in the country) is located within the BHEL premises, a
public sector undertaking at Tiruverumbur.

Registered students, faculty, HOD and Admin / Management staffs can login
using the valid official login ID and password.

Admin Login

Dashboard:
This image shows the dashboard screen of Admin Login. It shows the total number of
students, faculty members and eBooks assigned.

Programs & Courses:
Click “Programs & Courses” on the left side menu to view/add all the departments,
programs and classes. You can create Classes using this menu. You can find the

number of students and faculties assigned for each class

Click “All” on the RHS to create Batches

You can add the list of subjects for the respective classes using “Add Subject” option.

You can add a user and assign to this specific class using the “Add/Assign” option.

You can migrate the student from one class to the other using the “Student
Migration” option.

You can assign a faculty to the respective subject using the “Assign Faculty” option.

User Management:

Click “User Management” on the left side menu, where you can find the total users
along with their details such as email ID, mobile number, registration number and
class details. You can add / delete an individual user and download them as per the

role/department.

You can add individual user using “Add User” option and can also upload them in
bulk using “Bulk Upload Users” option and you can assign the individual user to a

specific class using “Class” under “Add User” option (while adding individual users)
or mention the class name in the template while uploading them in bulk.

Click “Pending Request” to see if any request is given by the students to join the
institution or to join a particular class. Select the check box and click “Accept” to
approve the student request.

Content Repository:

Ebooks/Videos:

Click “eBooks/videos” under “Content Repository” on the left side menu to view the

total eBooks/videos assigned to the institution as well the eBooks/videos uploaded

by faculty members. To assign the eBooks/videos to E-Library, just select the

checkbox of the respective eBook/video and click “Assign to E-library”. To read the

eBook/video, click the “Action” column, where you can find a “Read” option to view

the eBook/video.

Messages:
Click “Messages” on the left side menu to send messages (App Notifications) to the
students/faculties of respective departments.

Notice Board:
Click “Notice Board” on the left side menu and then click “Add notice” on the top
right side to add any information to be notified to all the users of your institute.

Reports:
Click “Reports” on the left side menu, the click “Users” to find the number of
students those who have accessed/ not accessed the web/App. Next click “Content”
which displays the content uploaded by the faculties and the total number of students
who have accessed the content. Then Click “Reports” to download the users list for
the respective departments.

My Test:

Click “My Tests” to create e-test. You can select the question type and allot marks
for each question and assign the test to the E-library. Once the e-test is created and
taken by the students, the admin can download the reports.

Upload questions for online assessment:
Assessment can be added for each and every module using “Add Test” option.

After entering the details, click “Continue with question paper creation now”.

Click “Add Section” and enter the following details and then click “Confirm”.

Click the hamburger icon to add the question which can be added individually or
imported randomly as well as manually using the options available.

Add Questions:
Here the questions have to be added individually along with the options, negative
marks and total marks.

Import Questions Manually: Here the questions can be imported manually from the
uploaded question bank. Questions can be filtered based on the category as well as
based on the marks.

Import Questions Randomly: Enter the number of questions to be imported
randomly from the uploaded question bank.

Question Bank: Upload questions for online assessment:

Using this menu on the LHS, questions can be uploaded in bulk using the excel
template provided herewith.

Download xls template , fill in the questions, options, marks and negative marks.
Choose the category and upload the questions using “Bulk Upload Questions”.
