Ex1: Answer the questions

Speaker3 (00:00):

Good morning, Ms. Barnes. I'm Max Ricardo, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. It's a pleasure to meet
you, Mr. Ricardo. Thank you for inviting me for an interview. Your resume is very impressive. I see that you
have eight years of experience in both marketing and sales. We could use another ambitious sales manager
to join our sales force. Can you tell me more about your experience in sales? Sure. At my last job, I worked
as a sales manager for South America.

Speaker2 (00:31):

I enjoy sales because it's challenging and gives me a sense of pride when I successfully close a deal. But

Ex3: Answer the questions

Speaker2 (00:00):

Hi, Mark. How's it going? I haven't seen you since I left the company eight months ago. Honestly, Lydia, I'm
under a lot of pressure. I'm sorry to hear that. Is it pressure at work?

Speaker3 (00:12):

Yes, that's part of it. Our year-end sales figures weren't what we expected, so I need to implement a plan to
boost sales.

Speaker2 (00:20):

That does sound stressful, but I'm sure you and your new international sales team will find a way to
improve sales. Thanks for the support, Lydia. On top of that, my wife, Rena, recently lost her full-time news
writing job, so now she's unemployed. Oh, no. That must be very hard. Do you think she'd be interested in
becoming self-employed? She considered doing freelance work, but decided against it. It really isn't her

but for me, it works. There are many amazing benefits to owning my own business.

No More Worries!

by Philip Gantz

Do you feel down in the dumps? Are you under stress? Don't worry! You're not alone! Many
people have trouble coping with feelings of anxiety and depression. There are all sorts of

things in life that cause anxiety. Tension at work may make you feel stressed. Perhaps you are
struggling with personal relationships. Maybe you are worried about how you're going to pay

the bills. Don't ignore your feelings!

Here are some tips to help you:

Write it down!
It's important to organize your thoughts. It helps to write them down. Ask yourself the
following questions, and answer them honestly:

1) What am I feeling? Examples: sad, depressed, anxious, run-down, stressed

2) What is making me feel this way? Be as specific as you can. Examples: health issues,
problems at work, issues with a certain relationship (friends or family), problems with money,
feeling unfulfilled in life

Don't keep it in - talk to someone!
Although you may not feel like talking to anyone, push yourself to open up. When you keep
your feelings inside, you end up feeling sorry for yourself, and that's not going to help you
change your situation. You may not need to rush to counseling, though it can certainly be
helpful. You can first try talking to a friend with whom you feel comfortable - someone you can
trust. A person who isn't dealing with the issue can have a clearer perspective and may be

able to help you work things out. After speaking with the friend, you may still want to consider
counseling. Get a recommendation for a therapist from your healthcare provider.

Exercise!
Often, as a result of your anxiety, you may feel run-down. You may not feel like moving. But,
research shows that exercise helps people overcome anxiety and depression. Exercise releases
chemicals in your brain called endorphins, which make you feel good. In fact, doctors even
prescribe regular exercise as a natural way to treat feelings of anxiety and depression. So,
take a walk or run. Get on your bike or do any other type of exercise you enjoy. Both your
body and your mind will thank you.

Outer Space in Cyber Space

Exciting News!

Posted on September 8 at 10:30 a.m. By Sam Slasky
Hey Guys! To my regular readers, welcome back! And to my new followers, welcome to "Outer Space
in Cyber Space". If you're interested in deep space, the latest on asteroid mining, news from the
International Space Station, or colonizing Mars, you've come to the right place!

I have some very exciting news to share! I am thrilled to announce that by this time next week I will be
flying 21 kilometers above Earth! My brother Kevin and I have a high altitude jet flight scheduled for

Sunday at 10 o'clock in the morning. As many of you know, I've always been interested in space
tourism. And here's my chance to start experiencing it!

So, I bet you guys want to hear about what the experience includes! We will fly with a pilot in a high
altitude fighter jet. We will be able to see the blackness of space, the thin blue layer of the atmosphere,
and the curvature of the Earth. I'm so excited! They say the excursion lasts about 45 minutes.

In order to prepare for the flight, we must attend a pre-flight briefing and do a medical check. Kevin and
I will be doing both this afternoon. Stay tuned for updates!

The high altitude jet flight is just a tiny taste of my real dream – visiting the International Space Station!
Hopefully in the future I'll be posting about my upcoming orbital flight, which will include 10–14 days
aboard the International Space Station! As I explained in my previous post, this is the most extensive
(and expensive!) experience you can currently have as a space tourist. If you really want to feel like an
astronaut, this is the closest you can get! During the orbital flight, you'll not only experience
weightlessness, but you'll also get to witness 16 amazing sunrises and sunsets each day! Sounds like
an out-of-this-world-experience to me! If only I could afford it!

Please make sure to watch this "space" next week, Sunday November 10th. I will be posting updates,
pictures and videos on the day of my launch.

Over and out!
