Introduction
The Internet has grown to exceptional proportions. Since it's introduction to
the public in 1994 the Internet has adapted to the monster it is today. Just
over one billion people are now Internet users and overwhelmed by the
ever changing electronic super highway that has allowed us to share our
lives, network, communicate and even do business with people from all
over the world.
Today it is easier than ever for any business entity to market their products
or services to the world. The tools are there, but unfortunately, the capacity
and the potential the Internet can provide anyone in their business
ventures is well, not used to it's potential, or even taken advantage of. A lot
of this is due to the ignoring of what could be one of the greatest inventions
of all time, the Internet, next to medical discoveries of course.
It is no longer a privilege or an extra option, it is now a necessity. Those
businesses who continue to ignore the Internet as a option to expand their

business, will soon feel the effect. This could mean substantial losses in
business, costumers, and of course revenue. The days of community
support are long gone, and no longer the sole factor if a business will
survive or not. All business must expanded their reach or presumably put

Yes the Internet provides a necessary option for businesses, but what
makes the Internet important for business, also provides the same

You really do not have the chance to compete as a stand alone entity in
the off line business world, but in the Online world, you have a chance to

The Internet has created a world wide open marketplace that allows sole
individuals, regardless of their educational background, their race, their
disabilities, their looks, or even their financial situation, to compete with
multi-million dollar companies on a level playing field.
The Internet is really a breath of fresh air for low income and middle class
individuals. There is no other tool on our planet that will give you the ability
to compete with big business than the Internet.
I don't have to sit here and give you examples of average everyday people
who have taken advantage of the opportunities available to them online
and became success stories, because I really don't have too, since you
probably read at least one of these stories every time you log online. They
are EVERY WHERE!
Most of these people were not Business Graduates. They were not savvy
salesman and even some of these people had some sort of deficiency that
hindered their ability to prosper in the off line business world.

You will even see stories of people starting with nothing, jobless, no
money, and desperate. I'm sure some of you may believe these stories are
made up for the sole purpose to sell their products, and honestly I can see

your point, with some of them, but what you may be failing to believe is that
the majority of these success stories are legit.
These people were in desperate times and needed a break in their lives.
They looked to the Internet as an opportunity to help with their financial
problems and didn't look back. They identified the opportunities and put the
tools that were provided to them to work, and now these people no longer
have to deal with financial problems.
Even though there are thousands of success stories like these, what
should not be over looked is there is probably just as many or even more
stories of people who failed using the Internet as a viable option to improve
their financial situations.
For their failure, there can be an assortment of reasons they did not
succeed in making money online. For the majority of these failures, most
can be attributed to three main keys they failed to do while they tried to
earn income online.
The first cause of failure is lack of education. You need the RIGHT
information to succeed online and must continue to learn in order to
continue success online.
The Next common cause of failure is because of laziness. Making money
online does require work, and those who do not like work, then making
Money online isn't for them.
Even if You have the right education or information and are willing to work,
it does not mean that you will make money online. Not researching

During the Dot Com catastrophe in the late 90's, most of these dot com
failures were due to their failure to create or optimize a product for a
market that was available. Instead of attacking a market that was already
present, they put out products or websites, that virtually had no market,
thus no business.
Yes, some of these companies folded not only due to their inability to
attack markets that were available, but there were also under funded or
over funded. These companies had funds invested in their companies that
they could not recover. Partly because they misunderstood the Internet.
They believed in Instant gratification was the way of the Internet and their
returns would be returned quickly, they were wrong.
The Internet is not a get rich quick system. Yes, some people have had
instant success, but these are rare, very rare. The Internet is a slow
moving system that if done correctly will eventually pay off for those who
can with stand a marathon and develop endurance, determination, and the
ability to recover from mistakes.
Let's not underestimate the ideas of those who failed during the dot com
explosion. Some of these ideas were way a head of their time and put into
action too soon. I do believe that a majority of those failures could succeed
in today's version of the Internet with the new markets that have been
created.

in the real world, the Internet is really no different. Education is a major
factor in becoming successful in the online world.
There are really three types of education you will or may need to pursue a
career in making money online.
● Formal Education
● Expert Teachings
● Self Teaching and Hands on Experience
Formal education of course is the education process by way of Colleges
and Universities. Even though this is the traditional way of education and
vital in the off line business world, this type of eduction is not vital in the
online world, although it can be beneficial in your efforts. Just because you
do not have a College Education doesn't mean you cannot succeed online.
Using formal education to develop skills in web design, scripting,
programing, business, creative writing, advertising, and marketing can
benefit you extremely as you began to work online. These majors can also
enhance your ability to create websites, tools, and marketing methods that
could take your efforts to a new level.
I will though make this very clear, the Internet is a different animal in whole,
and not all common business practices will work in a online business.

There is a reason you don't find too many courses dealing with strictly
online businesses. The major reason is due to the fact that the Internet is a
fairly new to the world of business and no actual clear cut plan has been
developed as of yet to succeed in an online business. A top factor causing
this is because the powers of the Internet, the search engines are
constantly changing their methods of indexing, thus making it difficult for
any online business to focus on one method to create top notch indexing
results that will flood their businesses with traffic.
There may be simple General educational course regarding Internet
marketing, but the information received during the process of these
courses are general common knowledge that can be learned on your own
through researching online.
If you want to pursue a career in a online business and want some type of
formal education to help you. I recommend Web design, programming, or
creative writing. Another course that would be beneficial if you do not have
an experience in sales, is of course, Advertising & Marketing.
Of course, you should pursue a Professional Career Education Counselor
to help you decide the proper courses you should select. By explaining

you better select the right course of education.

Really sit down and think about it. Why do children rely on Parents to guide
them through childhood and help them deficient from right from wrong?
You see Parents have already been through the growing pains of

These experts are not inexperienced online salesman, they are going to try
and get as much as they can from you as far as money. If you have ever
bought a e course online or attended a live conference, there is one
common denominator:
They give you a snack to get you to purchase a meal.
This is why some people feel cheated when they purchase a course for
$39.99 or even as high as $99. They think the information they are getting
is what they need to make money online. Sure the information is usually
good, but not enough to put you on your way to making money online. Yes,

some people have found this information to be all they needed to finally
step up into the lime light, but let's be real, it's rare, most of the time these
people already knew what they needed to do and may have needed a
push or simply were missing one single puzzle piece to complete their
puzzle. More times than not, the initial information you purchase will be
only bits and pieces of the real information that the expert has to offer,
which is why you should be prepared to be counter offered a high dollar
course.
What the product you are purchasing does is peek your interest, get you
motivated, and maybe share a few ideas or strategies. In all reality, the
information you usually receive is junk and most of the time can be found
online for free. They want you to read and think about your chances of
making money online, then a few days after purchasing the product you
will receive the sales call from a staff member of the program. They will
explain their main course, which can be a educational course or even a
business, they will give you the estimated costs of the program or
business, and how you can make money online using their system. Usually

the costs of this system or the business will range in the thousands. It is
not uncommon to see price tags as high as $5000. This may seem high for
some and a bargain for others, depending on the vision one might have, or

This has caused a majority of those who purchased the initial package to
call a program a scam, but let me remind you, that the information you will
get will be LEGIT information and can be life changing. Even though some
do not believe, there are regulations on what these experts can offer, and if
these regulations are not met, the system is shut down and the so-called
expert can face some legal issues.
I really don't care what you see in any infomercial or any online sales page.

These programs have success stories tagged to them and have changed
someone's life for the better somewhere, whether you believe it or not. In
order for these programs to last, they have to have results, no results, no
program, thus fraud will be charged
I'm sure you have purchased some type of educational course through a
commercial or online. During this process you probably noticed the above
example of the Meal deal, the Main Course sales pitch. From you reading
this I have come to conclusion that you did not finish the sale. It is
understandable, I've been there myself and have not finished the steps to
learn the systems many times. Even though I felt strongly that the
information and education I would receive would benefit me financially, but
because of the financial situations I was in during these times, I couldn't
complete the process.

Really looking at the price in a different way, sit down a figure out what it
would cost to attend a College or University. Pretty Pricey isn't it?
Education will cost, no matter if it is Traditional or unconventional such as

Self Teaching and Hands on experience can be some of the most

make money online. At times this process may seem painful or hopeless,

Be Prepared to Work:
What makes the idea of working online so special is that you can do so
with out taking big risks such as quiting your day job. You can run a
successful business online with a part time schedule and some people
have found their part time incomes are higher than their full time jobs
income. Of course this may not happen for everyone, but the potential to
increase your financial situation on your free time, should be enough to
peek your interest, if it doesn't than you must be satisfied with your current
financial situation. Good For You, but the rest of us, the Internet gives us
an option to increase our own incomes with out the large risks.
Sometimes people make assumptions that Part time means easy and
barely any work is involved, well I hate to break it to you, that isn't true.
Making money online will require your free time and yes, work, lot's of it.
The process of making money online does require as much time as you
can give it and the more time and work you put into it the better your
results will be, that is if you use them wisely.
You have to be willing to do what you have to do to receive results. This
means you may have to endure hours of repeating techniques, hours of
researching, hours of learning, hours of writing, and then keep repeating
the process over and over again. During this process you may become
disinterested, or become bored. It will happen, but you have to keep
pushing.

We all have those days of not wanting to go to work, but we do any ways
because if we don't we don't get paid, or could lose our jobs. Working
online should be taken in the same regard. Although you may not receive
an instant paycheck for your work today like you would with your day job,
you should not cheat the system because when you cheat online, your
cheating yourself, not your boss on your day job.

I would like to make this clear to you. The type of income you will be
producing online will be a different type of income you will be use to
working your day job.
With your day job if you work 40 hours, you get paid for 40 hours and
normally, depending on your retirement plan or any bonuses you can get,
you only get paid for the hours you work. If you don't feel like working one
day and play hooky, you normally don't get paid for that day right? You also
usually receive a paycheck weekly or bi-weekly and you generally know
what your paychecks will be.
The income you earn online will be different then you are accustomed to
with your job. You may not receive income results from the work you do
today for weeks or even months, but what is so beautiful about working
online instead of getting paid one time for the work you do, you could get
paid an unlimited amount of times for your work. So just one correct
placement of a Marketing ad or content page, could end up paying you a
thousand times over through your life time. Because of this, working online
really becomes appealing to just about anyone who has the desire to earn
money online.

This is why you will hear of people earning money while they sleep, while
they eat, or even while they are on vacation. This has led to some to
believe that making money online may be easy. Yes all of the above is true,
but these people fail to explain the amount of dedication and work they put
into their online business to receive those results. You have to put in the
work in order to receive the same results these successful people online
receive and if you do, you too can make money while you sleep.
Do not attempt to work online if you do not feel you will stay the course and
do the work necessary to complete the job. You will only be wasting your
time, the time of the people you have gotten into your business, and of

Research is essential to your success online. With out it, you are
essentially doing business blind and you will be relying strictly on luck. This
is not the way to do business online. This approach will only put you into
the failure line, wasting your time, and more than likely your money.
In order to be successful online you must learn how to research. There are
a ton of available methods and tools online that you can use for free to do
this correctly or at least give you an estimate for markets and competition.
In your efforts of research, you must be able to locate markets for you to
compete in and you must understand and know your competition. Doing so
will help you located possible markets that give you the best opportunity to
compete in and have a chance to succeed with.
Everyone who is not knowledgeable about the Internet believes that you
have to create a new and unique product to make money online. Now
creating a unique product of your own can be beneficial, BUT you DO NOT
have to create a product of your own to make money online. Even if you
create a product of your own, it doesn't mean it will make you money
online.
To get more in depth about this, let's say you create a product that is totally
unique. You spend the money to have it created, spend the money to
create your sales page, and then put it online only to find out your product,
even though it was a good idea, doesn't have a market.

it online, you will not make money online. Sure you can spend the money
to create a market, but this can be very expensive and can consume a lot
of time. For you as a small publisher or Internet Marketer, this is not your
appropriate method to make money online.
The whole point of this is that in order for you to make money with the least
amount of resistance, you have to have a product people are looking for,
it's really that simple. The markets are already created, you just have to
find them and then find out how you can attack the market and receive
results.
Research will take time and should not be taken lightly the more research
you do on markets and of course potential businesses you may work with
will benefit you substantially.

Seobook.com. They offer a free Keyword tool that will give you estimate
search volumes for keywords and phrase for three of the top search
engines on the net, Google, Yahoo, and MSN. Once you find the Markets,
use the Search Engines to do research on the competition in that market.

The Internet is filled with endless possibilities on how you can make
money. Here is a small list of some things you can do online to make
money:

These are the most common ways people make money online. There are
more, but the majority of the programs people make money online are
listed above. Suggested programs to stay away from are cash gifting,
Online Casino's and pyramid schemes simply because these things are
illegal. Now MLM programs may seem to be pyramid schemes, but there is
a difference between the two, even though they are similar. MLM is a legal
business if it follows the federal guidelines, but in some foreign countries
MLM is not allowed, but in the United States MLM is a legal business
strategy.

The type of business you decide to participate in will depend on your
abilities and your available resources. The only requirement for a majority
of these programs you will need to be able to write. If you can not write,
you may want to either bring someone into your business to help you with

Creating your own product for selling on the Internet is probably one of the
most lucrative opportunities that are presented online as long as you know
there is a market for your product, and set up the sales page correctly.
You product can be physical goods such as art, crafts and wooden
products, such as furniture. If your products have a market you will do well
if you market them correctly, but beware, make sure you can meet the
demand. If you can't keep up with the demand and make your shipments
on time, you will essentially put yourself out of business.
One of the least expensive ways to create your own product is creating
digital delivery products such as eBooks, e Courses, media products, and
of course software. It is no secret that people are hungry for information
and these product deliver. What makes these products easy to sell is that
you don't have to worry about shipping the product. Once the product is
purchased the buyer can immediately download the product he or she
purchased.
What seems to sell the most is ebooks on how to do something. Find a
market that is looking for this type of ebook and doesn't have a lot of
competition as far as available eBooks, then write one about 60 to 100
pages long. This doesn't have to be a novel. Just a short explanation on
how to do something.
Of course the writing will be easier if you find a market that you are

is something in your life that you are passionate about, thus you are an
expert.
If you can't find a market for something you know personally, but find a

market that is available and starving for a information product. You may
find it difficult to write because you don't have knowledge of the subject
manner. You have two options, research the subject, learn it, and then
write it or hire a ghost writer to write it for you.
Yes there are people available who will be willing to write your product for
you for a price and give you the full copyrights to the product for a fee. This
fee is commonly around about 10 dollars a page, but high end established
ghost writers can go as high as 30 dollars a page to write the products for
you. This is more common than you think, you would probably be surprised
at how many of the information products you have bought in the past have
been ghost written.
Once you have a created product ready to sell, you will then have to create
a sales page for you to sell the product online or simply use ad networks or
blogs to sell it. Another option that can be beneficial to you and may
increase your total sales of your product is have an affiliate program or join
a digital delivery affiliate program such as Clickbank.com.
Clickbank will literally get your product promoted by thousands of
experienced affiliate marketers for a portion of the final sales price. In order
for you to get top notch affiliate marketers to sell your products with this
program, I would recommend your affiliate commission is set between 40%
to 70%. That may seem like a large chuck of your profit and is, but this

high commission rate will attract high class experienced marketers to
market your product. In the end your total sales and profits will benefit
substantially.
Using these affiliate programs will essentially give you a small army of
sales people all working online to sell your product and not putting the
stress of selling the product on your own shoulders. This free time of not
worrying about selling your product will allow you to tune your sales page

to increase your conversion rate, and more time to work on a new project
to sell.
Clickbank does require a set up fee of about $50 and then will take a very
small percentage of the final sales price, but if you are selling digital
products, Clickbank is a must. There are other costs with this plan. You will
need a hosting account to host your sales pages which will be around
about $6 to $7 dollars a month. Don't be cheap and pick a host because of
a low price. Make sure your bandwidth is high, your hosting can accept a
large amount of traffic, and the uptime is at least 99 percent or higher. After
all if your site is down, you could essentially be losing out on customers.
Using Clickbank to sell your product could drive an enormous amount of
traffic at certain times, thus with cheap hosting, could put your website
down and off line due to a server overload.
You will also need to register a domain name for your sales page. You can
purchase a domain for as low as $6.95 on up, depending on the service
you purchase a domain with. Your hosting account may include a free
domain registration. I highly recommend using Host Monster. Their
package and service for the price is really unmatchable by the competition
