I. Objectives:
By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:
- Develop their skill of listening for specific information.
- Talk about the disadvantages of over-reading.
II. Materials:
Textbook, posters, pointer, pictures, cassette player, etc
III. Anticipated problems:
Ss may not have catch some information, so T should be ready to assist them.

* Task 1:
- Instruction: You are going to hear a man talk about his

hobby. Listen to his talk and choose the best answers A, B,
C or D.
- Before Ss listen, ask Ss to look through sentences in task
1.
- Play the tape twice for Ss to listen and do the task.
- Ask Ss to share their answers with their partners.
- Call some Ss to give their answers and explain their
answer in front of the class.
- Play the tape again for Ss to check their answers, pausing
at the points of the answers.

- Instruction: You are going to the talk again. Listen
again and fill in the missing words.
- Ask Ss to read the paragraph silently, predict the missing
words and write them on a separate sheet of paper.
- Play the tape more than once if necessary and ask Ss to
get the answers and compare with their prediction.
- Call some Ss to give their answers and explain.
- Check with the whole class by playing the tape again and
pause at difficult points if Ss cannot complete the task.
- Give correct answers:
