A / Aims and objectives : By the end of the lesson , Ss will be able to give
their ideas about wearing school uniform and they will know some structures
in the lesson such as I think , In my opinion , firstly
- Skill : Argumentative writing

1. Vocabulary: encourage , be equal in , bear ones name, freedom of
choice, self- confident

I divide class into two groups :
Look at the board : call and speak the name of the clothes
in the picture.

T: Look at the picture .Then anwser my questions.
Do you like wearing jeans as them in this picture ? Why ?/
Why not ?


T: There are many idea about wearing clothes. Its an
argument .
- Read the word : argument .What does it means ?
- To write a paragraph , how many parts are there in a
paragraph?

Secondary school students should wear uniforms

Outline A
Wearing uniforms :
*encourages students to be proud of their school
name because the uniforms bear their school’s
name.
* helps students feel equal in many ways,
whether they are rich or poor.
* is practical. No need to think of what to wear

every day .

- Ask Ss to read silent.
* New words :
- to encourage ( explanation ): to give hope , support or
confidence to somebody.
- to be equal in ( explantion )
Ex: Nam is 30 kg in weight ,Mai is 30 kg , too. They are
equal in weight.

1. What is the topic in the outline ?
- Secondary school students should wear uniforms.
2. Why does wearing uniforms encourge students to be
proud of their school?
- Because the uniforms bear their school’s name .
3. How do students feel when wearing uniforms ?
- They feel equal in many ways.
4. Do students have to think of what to wear every day?
- No, they don’t.
T asks Ss to close the book . T says I have a mistake
paragraph , you use the language which you have studied
to do this exercise.

- Ask Ss to look at Outline B and read in front of the class.

Secondary school students should wear casual clothes.
2.Why should secondary students wear casual clothes ?
Because it makes Ss feel comfortable , give them freedom
of choice, makes Ss self- confident, makes schools more
colorful and lively.
-Tell Ss to work in group to discuss and get some more
ideas about the topic.
