b. Pre_reading : T. introduces the lesson
“ Passage B1 is about a letter from Tim Jones, Hoa’s penpal. In this
letter, Tim tells about his parents’ daily work & we will know the
differences between an American’s life & VietNamses’s life.”
Ordering: (for main ideas)
T. asks Ss to predict the order of the main ideas
a. Mr Jone’s work. 3
b. Tom’s introduction of his family. 1
c. Mr Jone’s vacation time. 4
d. Mrs Jone’s work. 2
Ss work individualy first. Then they compare with their partner.

Ss read the passage “ A letter from Tim Jones” silently.
T. helps Ss correct their predictions & gives the answer key.

Ss answer the questions individually.
