4. Aims:
By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:
• Read the information from a chart.
• Write a paragraph describing the preparation for the Asian Games using future verb tenses.
5. Teaching aids: Textbook, Handouts.
6. Anticipated problems and solutions:
• There may be lack of time, so Teacher has to prepare carefully before going to class.
• Students may not have enough vocabulary to complete the task so T should be ready to assist them.

5 I. WARM-UP:
Game: Hangman
Game
- Divides the class into two groups. Tell Ss they are going to guess
a word in the teacher’s mind. This word has 8 letters.
- Writes on the board:
- (Ss can say out any letter in the alphabet. If they guess it
correctly, the teacher will put it on its position, but if Ss guess a

WRITING: - Asks Ss to use the information in the box and write a meaningful
sentences, combining 1 with the phrases in column 2 (page 143)
- Moves around the class to give help
- Asks Ss to compare their answers
Some suggested sentences:
a. One more national stadium needs to be built.
b. National sports centers and local stadium need to be upgraded
because they are not in good conditions.
c. We have to build more hotels with modern facilities to welcome
foreign athletes and visitors.
Ask Ss to write them on the board. Teacher gives Ss comments
and corrections.
Activity 2: Writing a composition
- Asks Ss to write a paragraph about 120 words to describe the
preparations of the coming Asian Games in Vietnam.
- Moves around to give help if necessary.
- Gives Ss limited time.
- Use the information in
