It’s a guessing game. I think of a famous person or place. Then you have
to ask me questions to find out who or what it is.
Hoa:
It’s sounds very easy. How does it work?
Nga:
I can only answer “yes or no”, and you can only ask 20 questions.
Hoa:
What happens if we can’t guess the correct answer?

Nga:

Hoa:

Nga:

Nhi:

Nga:

Nhi:

Nga:

Hoa:
I know. It’s the Golden Gate Bridge!
Nga:
No. The Golden Gate Bridge isn’t in New York! It’s in San Francisco.
Nhi:
I think the answer is the Statue of Liberty.
Nga:
You’re right, Nhi.
3. Modal sentences:

Usage: Reduced form of an indirect question.
