Past progressive tense (Quá khứ tiếp diễn)
Form: was/were + verb-ing
Use: Indicate an action that was in
progress at a certain point of time in the past.

Example: I was doing my homework
at seven o’clock last night.

I was watching TV when the phone rang.
While I was watching TV , the phone rang.
