I come from a family of three children , and I am the youngest . Now we have all grown up , have left home and
each of a family of our own . , but I still remember the day when I was small , living with my parents and
siblings . Both my parents worked . My father was a carpenter working for a small company that made furniture
, and my mother was a florist . Every day she had to get up early to go to a wholesale flower market to get the
flowers to sell in her small shop . My parents had to work really hard to feed and clothe their three children .
They also tried their best so that all the three of us could receive good schooling , too . My parents were loving
but very strict with their family rules . In the family , everybody had to do their share of household chores . My
main responsibility was to clean the house and water the small vegetable garden at the back of our house . We
were made to study very hard , too . We were never allowed to watch TV before we had finished our home
work . And my parents never allowed us to stay out late . In spite of these rules, we got on very well with each

other and we were a close-knit family. My parents were always the people I went to when I needed advice. I
think thanks to my parents’ love and disciplines, we have all become useful citizens and successful in our lives.
