In many societies the choice of partner is limited to suitable persons from
specific social groups. In some societies the rule is that a partner is
selected from an individual's own social group - endogamy, this is the case
in many class and caste based societies. But in other societies a partner

English is an West Germanic language that originated from the
Anglo-Frisian dialects brought to Britain by Germanic invaders from

various parts of that is now northwest Germany and the Netherlands.
Initially, Old English was a divert group of dialects, reflecting the varied
origins of the Anglo-Saxon kingdoms of England. One of these dialects,
Late West Saxon, eventually came to dominate.
The original Old English language was then influential by two
further waves of invasion: the first by speakers of the Scandinavian branch
of the Germanic language family, which conquered and colonized parts of
Britain in the 8th and 9th centuries; the latter by the Normans in the 11th
century, who spoke Old Norman and ultimately developed an English
variety of this called Anglo-Norman. These two invasions caused English
to become "mixed" to any degree.
Cohabitation with the Scandinavians resulted in a significant
grammatical simplification and lexical enrichment of the Anglo-Frisian
core of English; the later Norman occupation led to the grafting onto that
Germanic core of a more elaborate layer of works from the Romance
languages (Latin-based languages). This Norman influence entered
English large through the courts and government. Thus, English
developed into a "borrowing" language of great flexibility, resulted in an
enormous and varied vocabulary.

EXAMPLE: ( Đây chỉ là ví dụ, không phải bài mẫu )

The graph/chart/diagram indicates/shows consumer price indexes of Vietnam
through the months of the year 2007.
As can be seen, the indexes of food and staple food, the common index, and
even that of USD all increased with varied patterns.
Most obviously the gold price rose the highest of all up to 127.2% in December
2007 compared to the end of the year 2006, which went up dramatically with its two
peaks at 137% in the second quarter and 129% in the third quarter of the year.
The USD price and the food price were comparatively stable, in which the
former was remarkably lower than that of the gold and other consumer goods with the
percentage of December 2007 increasing only by 1% while the latter went up sharply
by 5% in February and afterwards decreased a little and increased slightly by 5.5% in
the end of the year 2007 vs the end of the year 2006. This was just under the rise in the
percentage of the common index.

There was a gradual and, after that, dramatic growth in the staple food price
during the last months of the year. Accordingly, the staple food price went up by 14.1%
compared to December 2006.
The common index in December 2007 climbed up to 106%, less than one-fifth

of that of the gold price in the same period.
To sum up/In brief/In conclusion, the statistics show that while the index of the
USD price changed little while that of other consumer goods mounted higher partly due
to the rise in the gold price. However, there is still an optimistic signal that the common
index didn’t ascend much.

School violence is one of the social issues these days that is demanding corrective
attention every passing day. What do you think? Write about 300 words to discuss and
suggest the solutions (and do not include your personal information). You may continue your
writing on the back page if you need more space.

Sau đây chỉ là gợi ý, không phải bài mẫu:

School violence is a very pointed problem. It is one of the social issues these
days that is demanding corrective attention every passing day.
School violence is getting worse and worse. Mass media have been reporting a
great deal about the problem. Every day we hear more new cases of school boys and
girls fighting, stabbing, outraging, wounding, insulting, attacking or revenging. This
problem is so serious that something needs to be done about it before it is too late.
SOLUTIONS:
- eradicate violence-stimulating forms of culture such as books, pictures, movies,
games on line that involve or advocate violence.
- educate school students to live and behave peacefully, not to behave
aggressively by the fact that relatives, teachers, friends, neighbors set good examples
through their actions, responses, behaviors, manners.
- encourage school children to struggle for noble, positive, humane ideals. Make
sure that they pursue healthy, positive interests,
- provide a friendly, mutually-affectionate, helpful and collective environment

for school students to live in, so as to foster friendliness, helpfulness, solidarity and to
abolish autism, unfriendliness, hostility.
