Nam goes to the dentist
When Nam got up this morning, he felt a pain in his teeth.
He came downstairs slowly. His mother looked up from his
breakfast.

"What's the matter, Nam? That tooth again ?"
Nam just nodded his head without saying a word.
"Well, there's only one thing to do about that. I call Dr.Lai and
ask him to take care of you right away."
"Never mind, Mom, it doesn't hurt much."
"What are you scared of? Dr.Lai won't hurt you."
Half an hour later, Nam was on his way to the dentist. He was
worried and scared. Why do people have teeth? Why do teeth
have to ache? He didn't want to go to the dentist, and he was
afraid of drilling. The bus came and he got on the bus. He found
a seat near the front of the bus.
"Where were you going, Nam?" a voice came from a seat
nearby.
Nam looked up. It was Mrs.Ha. She lived round the corner.
"I'm going to the dentist". Nam answered.
"What a same!"said Mrs.Ha. But "Don't worry, it won't hurt
much."
Nam remembered the sigh in front of the dentist's surgery. The
sigh said,"Smile, it won't hurt."But he didn't feel better now. He
was very scared.Evryone said"It won't hurt"but he thought it did.
