- Further practice on the comparative and the superlative.
- After the lesson, Ss will be able to use the comparative and the
superlative correctly.
II. Preparation:
- Material: Textbook, sub-board .
- Equipments: Tape, cassette.
III. Teaching procedure:

- S1: Write some jobs and words concerning to those
jobs. .
- S2: Go to the BB and talk about the jobs of their
family members. .

A. Warm- up:
- Play the game: Networks:

B. Presentation:
* Pre- reading :
- Give some guided questions:
a, Do you live in a house o rin an apartment?
b, Which is more comfortable?
- T presents the tasks.

- Play the tape for Ss to listen through once.
- T revises the comparative and the superlative of the
adjectives.
- Give form:
A. The comparative:
+ With short adjectives:
Jobs

S1 + be + short adj-er + than + S2.
+ With long adjectives:
S1 + be + more + long adj + than + S2.
B. The superative:
+ With short adjectives:
S + be + the + short adj-est.
+ With long adjectives:
S + be + the most + long adj.
* Notes: good - better - best.
bad - worse - worst.
- Give examples to each kind.
*While-reading :
- T plays the tape twice and ask Ss to read the dialogue after
silently.
- Ask Ss to answer the given questions.
- Call some Ss to write them on the BB while the others do
orally.
- T corrects and gives the right ones.

c, The one at the No 79 is.
d, The one at the No 27 is. It has two bedrooms, a large

modern bathroom and a kitchen.
- Ask Ss to practice reading the dialogue in pairs.
- Call some pairs to read aloud.
*Post-reading :
- T asks Ss to work in groups of 5 to describe 3 rooms.
- T calls some Ss to read aloud their descriptions in front of the
class.
- Others can make any correction or addition.
- T corrects if necessary .
4. Consolidation:
- T revives Ss the comperative and superative .
5. Homework:
- Review the comparative and the superlative.
- Do the Ex in workbook.
- Prepare the next lesson: Language focus.
