I. Objectives.
After the lesson Ss will be able to get acquainted with the
new topic : Stay healthy. And about the health.Such as: What
was wrong with you ? have a bad cold, have a headache, sick
-To drill Ss listening , and writing skills.
II. Teaching aids.
Tape, cassette ,text book , work sheet.
III. Teaching procedure.

- Do exercise A2( page 68) in the work book .
3. New lesson.
A. Warm up.
-Ask Ss to complete the medical record by practice asking and
answering the questions. ( work in pairs )
B. Presentation.
-Ask Ss to look at the picture and answert the questions.
Who do you think they are in the picture?
What questions does Mr Tan ask Lan?
What was wrong with her?
- Introduce the new words.
Sick: bị ốm A bad cold: cảm lạnh
A headache: đau dầu In side >< out side.
Sick note: giấy xin phép nghỉ ốm Virus: vi rút
Problem: vấn đề
-Ask Ss to read the new words in chorus.
-Introduce the topic of the lesson and aks Ss to listen to the
tape.

C. Practice.
-Play the tape and ask Ss to listen .
-Introduce the questions asking for health:
What is/ was the matter with SB ?

-Ask Ss to make example .
- Ask Ss to work in pairs to role play the dialogue.
- Ask Ss to look at the “ now and answer “ to answer the
questions.
-Write the answers on the BB. And read the questions aloud.
a) Lan didn’t go to school yesterday because she had a
bad cold.
b) She had a headache.
c) Mr Tan told Lan to stay inside at recess.
d) The doctor saidthat Lan had a virus.
i) The doctor wrote Lan’s sick note.
-Check if necessary.
4. Consolidation
- Retell the main content of the lesson.
5. Home work
- Study the new word and do the exercise B1( p71).
