I. Đề thi: gồm 3 bài, tổng thời gian 135 phút.
1. Bài thi đọc và viết
Thời gian làm bài: 90 phút; Điểm: 60 điểm/ 100 điểm
a) Đọc: 4 phần /20 câu hỏi (30 điểm)
- Phần 1: 10 câu hỏi (10 điểm). Đọc 10 câu độc lập mỗi câu có một từ bỏ trống, chọn 1
từ đúng trong 4 từ cho sẵn (dạng trắc nghiệm ABCD) để điền vào chỗ trống. Các chỗ
trống này cho phép kiểm tra kiến thức ngữ pháp, từ vựng, ngữ nghĩa và kiến thức văn
hóa, xã hội.
- Phần 2: 5 câu hỏi (5 điểm). Có thể lựa chọn một trong hai hình thức bài tập sau: 1)
đọc 5 biển quảng cáo, bảng báo hiệu thường gặp trong đời sống hàng ngày (dạng hình
ảnh không có chữ hoặc có ít chữ) hoặc thông báo ngắn, sau đó chọn một câu trả lời
đúng trong 4 câu cho sẵn (dạng trắc nghiệm ABCD); 2) đọc 5 đoạn mô tả ngắn, mỗi
đoạn khoảng 3 câu, sau đó chọn các bức tranh tương ứng với đoạn mô tả (5 bức tranh),
có nội dung liên quan đến đời sống hàng ngày.
- Phần 3: 5 câu hỏi (5 điểm). Đọc một bài khoảng 200 - 250 từ, chọn các câu trả lời
Đúng hoặc Sai hoặc lựa chọn câu trả lời đúng trong 4 khả năng A, B, C, D. Bài đọc có thể
lấy từ báo, tạp chí dễ hiểu, dạng phổ biến kiến thức, thường thấy trong đời sống hàng
ngày.
- Phần 4: 10 câu hỏi (10 điểm). Làm bài đọc điền từ (Cloze test), dạng bỏ từ thứ 7 trong
văn bản. Lưu ý: chỉ bỏ ô trống bắt đầu từ câu thứ 3, câu thứ 1 và thứ 2 giữ nguyên để
thí sinh làm quen với ngữ cảnh. Bài đọc này dài khoảng 150 từ trong đó có 10 từ bỏ
trống. Chọn trong số 15 từ cho sẵn các từ phù hợp để điền vào chỗ trống.
Yêu cầu chung: 1) Bài đọc viết theo ngôn ngữ đơn giản, có bố cục rõ ràng; 2) Chủ đề
quen thuộc, liên quan tới đời sống thường ngày (có thể lấy từ báo, tạp chí, tài liệu giáo
dục, truyện, các mục trong bách khoa toàn thư…); 3) Lượng từ mới không vượt quá 10%

của trình độ B1.
b) Viết: 2 phần (30 điểm)
- Phần 1: 5 câu hỏi (10 điểm). Cho sẵn 5 câu, viết lại các câu đó với những cách diễn đạt
khác đã được gợi ý bằng 1-2 từ sao cho ý nghĩa các câu đó không thay đổi.
- Phần 2: (20 điểm). Viết một bài viết ngắn khoảng 100 -120 từ. Đây là dạng bài viết có
nội dung liên quan đến đời sống hàng ngày, thường là viết dựa trên một tài liệu gợi ý cho
sẵn. Một số dạng bài thường dùng: viết một lá đơn xin việc sau khi đọc một quảng cáo
việc làm; viết một lá thư mời hay thư phàn nàn về một sản phẩm hoặc dịch vụ sau khi
đã mua hàng hoặc dùng dịch vụ theo một quảng cáo; điền vào một mẫu tờ khai trong đó
có 2 đoạn, mỗi đoạn dài khoảng 4 - 5 dòng; viết 2 - 3 lời nhắn qua email, mỗi lời nhắn
dài khoảng 4 - 5 dòng; viết thư trả lời để cảm ơn, xin lỗi, giải thích một sự việc hay dặn
dò, đưa lời khuyên cho ai đó; viết một câu chuyện đã có sẵn câu mở đầu và câu kết
thúc
2. Bài thi nghe hiểu
Bài thi nghe hiểu gồm 02 phần
Thời gian: 35 phút; Điểm: 20 điểm/ 100 điểm
- a) Phần 1: 5 câu hỏi (10 điểm). Có thể lựa chọn nghe 5 đoạn hội thoại ngắn rồi đánh
dấu vào 5 bức tranh/ hình ảnh đúng, mỗi hội thoại có 4 - 6 lần đổi vai; hoặc nghe một
đoạn hội thoại dài để chọn 5 câu Đúng hoặc Sai với nội dung; hoặc nghe một đoạn độc
thoại ngắn rồi đánh dấu vào 5 đồ vật/ sự việc.
- b) Phần 2: 10 câu hỏi (10 điểm). Nghe một đoạn hội thoại hay độc thoại. Điền vào 10
chi tiết bỏ trống trong bài. Chỗ trống thường là thông tin quan trọng.
Yêu cầu chung: 1) Thí sinh có 5 phút để nghe hướng dẫn cách làm bài, sau đó được nghe
mỗi bài 2 lần, vừa nghe vừa trả lời câu hỏi; 2) Thời gian mỗi phần nghe không quá 15
phút (kể cả thời gian làm bài); 3) phát ngôn rõ ràng, tốc độ từ chậm đến trung bình; 4)
chủ đề cụ thể, bối cảnh giao tiếp quen thuộc, liên quan đến đời sống thường ngày; 5)
lượng từ mới không quá 5% của trình độ B1.
3. Bài thi nói
Bài thi nói gồm 3 phần, thời gian cho mỗi thí sinh từ 10 - 12 phút.
Điểm: 20 điểm/ 100 điểm

Thí sinh bốc thăm 1 trong số 14 chủ đề nói của trình độ B1 liên quan tới 4 lĩnh vực: cá
nhân, công cộng, nghề nghiệp, giáo dục (xem cụ thể 14 chủ đề trong phần Dẫn luận).
Thời gian chuẩn bị khoảng 5 - 7 phút (không tính vào thời gian thi)
a) Phần 1 (2 đến 3 phút): Giáo viên hỏi thí sinh một số câu về tiểu sử bản thân để đánh
giá khả năng giao tiếp xã hội của thí sinh.
b) Phần 2 (5 phút): Thí sinh trình bày chủ đề đã bốc thăm. Phần trình bày phải có bố cục
rõ ràng, giới thiệu nội dung, phát triển ý, kết luận, biết sử dụng phương tiện liên kết ý.
Tránh liệt kê hàng loạt mà không phát triển kỹ từng ý.
c) Phần 3 (3 - 5 phút): Giáo viên và thí sinh hội thoại mở rộng thêm về những vấn đề có
liên quan đến chủ đề vừa trình bày. Trong phần hội thoại, giáo viên đặt các câu hỏi phản
bác hoặc thăm dò ý kiến, thí sinh phải trình bày được quan điểm và đưa ra lý lẽ để bảo
vệ quan điểm của mình.
II. Đánh giá
1. Tổng điểm của 3 bài thi là 100 điểm.
2. Thí sinh đạt tổng số 50,0 điểm, điểm mỗi phần thi không dưới 30% là đạt yêu cầu.

A. The overview:
Learners at this level should be able to communicate satisfactory in most everyday situations
with both native and non-native speakers of English. The following information provides an
outline of the knowledge of four skills and a list of the language functions that the test is
based on.

Reading: (35 points)
Part 1: (5 questions, 5 points) Read 5 signs, or notices, or messages (a picture with few
words or without words) then choose the correct answer A, B, or
Part 2: (5 questions, 5 points) Read 8 short texts, then choose the correct letter (A-H) to
each text.
Part 3: (10 questions, 10 points) Read a passage of about 200-250 words and decide if the
sentence is correct or incorrect. The passage can be from an article, journal, report, news,
weather forecast, schedule, plan etc.
Part 4: (5 questions, 5 points) Read a passage of about 200-250 words and choose the best
answer A, B, C, D.
Part 5: (10 questions, 10 points) Read a passage from which 10 words have been removed.
Choose the words from the box to fit the gaps.
Writing: (25 points)
Part 1: (5 questions, 5 points) Rewrite the given sentences keeping the meaning of the
sentences unchanged.
Part 2: (5 points) Write a short message. (about 35-45 words)
Part 3: (20 points) Write a letter or a story (about 100 words)
Paper 2: (approximately 30 minutes)
Listening: (25 points)
Part 1: (7 questions, 7 points) Listen to 7 short recordings (one or two people speaking) and
tick the correct picture.
Part 2: (6 questions, 6 points) Listen to one or two people speaking and tick the correct box.
Part 3: (6 questions, 6 points) Listen to one person speaking and fill in the gap with missing
information.
Part 4: (6 questions, 6 points) Listen to two people speaking and tick Y/ N for each
sentence.

FRAMES FOR THE SPEAKING TEST
TEST 1
Part 1 (2-3 minutes)
Tasks: Identifying oneself, giving information about oneself, talking about interests
Part 2 (2-3 minutes)
Tasks: Discussing alternative, expressing opinions, making choices
The examiner says: I’m going to describe a situation to you.
A girl is going to live in another city. The people in her tennis club want to give her a
goodbye present. Talk together about the different things they could give her and then
decide which would be best. Here is a picture with some ideas to help you. (picture 1A)
Part 3 (3 minutes)
Tasks: Describing people and places, saying where people and things are and what people
are doing
The examiner says:
Now I’d like each of you to talk on your own about something. I’m going to give each of you
a photograph of people enjoying music.
Student A, here is your photograph (photo 1B). Please show it to student B, but I’d like you
to talk about it. Student B you just listen. I’ll give you your photograph in a moment.

Student A, please tell us what you can see in your photograph.
Student B looks at photo 1C and tell us what you can see in the photograph.
Part 4 (3 minutes)
Tasks: Talking about one’s like and dislikes, expressing opinions
Your photograph showed people enjoying music. Now, I’d like you to talk together about
when you enjoy music and say what you when you are listening to music.

Part 2: A girl is going to spend two weeks living with a family in England to improve her
English. She has put the clothes she needs in her bag. Talk together about the other things
she will need to take, and say which will be the most important. (picture 2A)
Part 3: Now, I’d like each of you to talk on your own about something. I’m going to give each
of you a photograph of people having a snack.

Part 4:
The examiner says: Your photo showed people having a snack. Now, I’d like you to talk

When I was seven years old, my cousin Erika was going to turn 14 years old, and she had
planned a party for her friends and family. I didn’t want to go because I was much younger
than my cousin’s friends. However, my Mom told me I needed to go. Finally, I went to the
party, and there I met an 8 year old girl who was the sister of my cousin’s best friend. She
became a really close friend of mine. Even after the party we kept in touch and now she is my
best friend.

2. Bài thi nghe hiểu
Bài thi nghe hiểu gồm 02 phần
Thời gian: 35 phút; Điểm: 20 điểm/ 100 điểm
- a) Phần 1: 5 câu hỏi (10 điểm). Có thể lựa chọn nghe 5 đoạn hội thoại ngắn rồi
đánh dấu vào 5 bức tranh/ hình ảnh đúng, mỗi hội thoại có 4 - 6 lần đổi vai;
hoặc nghe một đoạn hội thoại dài để chọn 5 câu Đúng hoặc Sai với nội dung;
hoặc nghe một đoạn độc thoại ngắn rồi đánh dấu vào 5 đồ vật/ sự việc.
- b) Phần 2: 10 câu hỏi (10 điểm). Nghe một đoạn hội thoại hay độc thoại. Điền
vào 10 chi tiết bỏ trống trong bài. Chỗ trống thường là thông tin quan trọng.
Yêu cầu chung: 1) Thí sinh có 5 phút để nghe hướng dẫn cách làm bài, sau đó
được nghe mỗi bài 2 lần, vừa nghe vừa trả lời câu hỏi; 2) Thời gian mỗi phần
nghe không quá 15 phút (kể cả thời gian làm bài); 3) phát ngôn rõ ràng, tốc độ
từ chậm đến trung bình; 4) chủ đề cụ thể, bối cảnh giao tiếp quen thuộc, liên
quan đến đời sống thường ngày; 5) lượng từ mới không quá 5% của trình độ B1.
3. Bài thi nói
Bài thi nói gồm 3 phần, thời gian cho mỗi thí sinh từ 10 - 12 phút.
Điểm: 20 điểm/ 100 điểm
Thí sinh bốc thăm 1 trong số 14 chủ đề nói của trình độ B1 liên quan tới 4 lĩnh
vực: cá nhân, công cộng, nghề nghiệp, giáo dục (xem cụ thể 14 chủ đề trong
phần Dẫn luận). Thời gian chuẩn bị khoảng 5 - 7 phút (không tính vào thời gian
thi)
a) Phần 1 (2 đến 3 phút): Giáo viên hỏi thí sinh một số câu về tiểu sử bản thân
để đánh giá khả năng giao tiếp xã hội của thí sinh.
b) Phần 2 (5 phút): Thí sinh trình bày chủ đề đã bốc thăm. Phần trình bày phải
có bố cục rõ ràng, giới thiệu nội dung, phát triển ý, kết luận, biết sử dụng
phương tiện liên kết ý. Tránh liệt kê hàng loạt mà không phát triển kỹ từng ý.
c) Phần 3 (3 - 5 phút): Giáo viên và thí sinh hội thoại mở rộng thêm về những

vấn đề có liên quan đến chủ đề vừa trình bày. Trong phần hội thoại, giáo viên
đặt các câu hỏi phản bác hoặc thăm dò ý kiến, thí sinh phải trình bày được quan
điểm và đưa ra lý lẽ để bảo vệ quan điểm của mình.
II. Đánh giá
1. Tổng điểm của 3 bài thi là 100 điểm.
2. Thí sinh đạt tổng số 50,0 điểm, điểm mỗi phần thi không dưới 30% là đạt yêu
cầu.

I think that traveling has many advantages. It may help you to reduce stree and
avoid dullness of life. You also may enjoy a lot of delicious dishes and visit many
beautiful places and enrich your knowlege of cultures of many countries in the world.
However, travelling has some disadvantages. Tourism cost is still rather expensive. It
causes environmental pollution due to garbage thrown away by tourists. I have just
thought some of advantages and disadvantages as just mentioned.

My last holiday was my longest holiday. I spend the holiday with my husband. It

was a honeymoon trip
We selected Đà Nẵng for our honeymoon where is famous with beautiful beach.
We stayed there for four days and we lived in a big hotel by the beach. The weather
was very nice. In the morning, we went to the beach to watch the sunrise. Then we
swam in the clear blue water and played with gentle waves. In the afternoon, we rode
around the road along the coastline by bicycles. I also enjoyed some seafood and took
a lot of photos. In the evening, we went café and saw the Han River bridge. In the
middle of the night, it swings to allow shipping traffic to pass along the river. It’s
surprised with me because it’s first time I has seen a swing bridge
After those days, we came back to Hanoi. The holiday had a strong impression
on me and I really had many memories with my honeymoon.
4. What benefits do people get from doing exercise and playing sports?

The benefits that people get from doing exercise and playing sports are
numerous. It helps you to reduce possible diseases. Doing exercise and playing sport
often makes you to get a feeling of enough energy and increase withstanding. It also
helps you to have a healthy spirit and reduce stress quickly and effectively. If you
often do exercise and play sports, you will get a heathly and happy life.
Những lợi ích mà mọi người có thể nhận được từ việc tập thể dục và chơi thể thao là rất nhiều. Nó giúp
bạn giảm nguy cơ bệnh tật. Tập thể dục và chơi thể thao thường xuyên khiến bạn cảm thấy tràn đầy năng lượng,

5. What should people do to keep fit and stay healthy? (Những gì mọi người

In my opinion, if people want to keep fit and stay healthy, people should do
exercise 40 minutes everyday. Besides that, people should eat properly by eating a lot
of vegetables and fruits, drinking a lot of water and limit to eat oily foods. People
shouldn’t use stimulants such as alcohol, wine, cigarette, etc. It is better to balance
between work and entertainment and to avoid work continuously without taking a rest.
If people do as my advices, people will keep fit and stay healthy.

Theo tôi nghĩ: Mọi người muốn giữ cho vóng vóc đẹp và có một sức khỏe tốt. Mọi người nên Tập thể
dục 40 phút hàng ngày. Ăn uống hợp lý, ăn nhiều rau và hoa quả, uống nhiều nước, hạn chế các thức ăn có dầu
mỡ. Không nên sử dụng các chất kích thích như rượu, bia, thuốc lá Nên cân bằng công việc và giải trí, tránh
làm việc liên tục mà không nghỉ ngơi. Nếu mọi người thực hiện được những lời khuyên của tôi, thì mọi người sẽ
có một vóc dáng đẹp và sức khỏe tốt.
6. What is your typical day? Describe your plan for the coming week. (Ngày

My typical day starts from 7 a.m. I go to work after having breakfast for 30
minutes. The distance from my house to working place is 5km. I take about 20
minutes to go there. When I am at working place, I open the shop first and sweep the
floor of the shop then. My job is a book seller and manager of the shop. The shop is
closed at 6 p.m. I spend my evenining time for family such as walking with my
husband or watching T.V. I go to bed at 10 p.m. That is all of my daily work. There are
not so many changes in my plan for the coming week compared with this week. But I
schedule to go to cinema for watching film with my husband on next Saturday and to
visit my grandparent on next Sunday.

I like motorbike Lead of Honda very much because it looks to be very elegant

by bus. I can keep the motorbike in my house instead of hiring a place for car parking.
The motorbike is manufactured by a prestigious company and suitable to my payment
capacity.

8. What are some good things and bad things about the area / city you are

I am living in Tu Liem District, Hanoi City. The area that I am living has good
security and friendly neighbors. In this area, living cost is low, road is wide and there
are a lot of playgrounds for children. It is near E Hospital which is very convenient for
medical examination and treatment. However, there are some bad things such as
polluted air due to dust and noise from apartment buildings where are under
construction. The population density in this area is crowded, traffic jam often occurs
in rush hours.
Tôi đang sống ở huyện từ liêm, thành phố Hà Nội. Khu vực tôi đang sống có an ninh tốt, hàng xóm thân
thiện. Ở đây chi phí sinh hoạt thấp, đường xá rộng rãi, và có sân chơi cho trẻ em. Nó gần bệnh viện E nên rất
thuận tiện cho khám chữa bệnh. Nhưng một số điều không tốt là không khí ô nhiễm do bụi và tiếng ồn của các
tòa nhà trung cư đang xây gần đó. Khu vực từ liêm dân cư đông đúc, nên đến giờ cao điểm hay xảy ra tắc
đường.
9. Describe a happy memory in your life.( Mô tả một bộ nhớ hạnh phúc

A happy memory in my life is a memory of my friend who taught me how to
cook 5 years ago. At that time, I was 22 years old. I am clumsy and did not know how
to cook and the dishes cooked by me were very bad. Therefore, she taught me to cook.
At the beginning of learning, I felt this was rather difficult. However, I improved
gradually. That time was really a happy and joyful time for me. Now I am pround of
having cooked many delicious dishes for family. My husband likes dishes cooked by

me so much. I am grateful for my friend but I can not contact her because she left her
house to the United States 4 years ago.

10. Give some advice on what a foreign visitor should and should not do while

I will give some advice to a tourist when he goes travelling in Vietnam. I say, It is now summer in
Vietnam, the average degree is about 28-35 oC. So, It is quite hot and you should wear cool outfit. When you
visit a pagoda or a temple, you should choose a very discreet, polite clothes which might show your respect. You
had better not go too far away from the tour guide in order not to get lost. and you should not travel in festival
season because of the crowd, high cost, unqualified services and traffic jam
Tôi sẽ đưa ra lời khuyên với một khách du lịch khi đi du lịch tại việt nam. Tôi nói, Bây giờ bắt đầu vào
mùa hè, nhiệt độ trung bình ở Việt nam từ 28 – 35 0C. Vì vậy, Thời tiết nóng nực, áo quần nên lựa chọn những
trang phục thoáng mát. Khi viếng đình chùa, bạn hãy chọn cho mình một bộ trang phục thật kín đáo, lịch sự thể
hiện sự tôn kính. Bạn không nên đi quá xa hướng dẫn viên du lịch để trách bị lạc. Bạn không nên đi vào mùa lễ
hội vì ở đó bạn sẽ bị đám đông chen lấn, giá cả thì cao, dịch vụ chất lượng kém và tắc đường.

I have graduated from National Economics Univery since 2010. There have been
many changes in stature, professional qualification, job and marital status for 3 years.
I have become much fatter since I graduated but people commented that I am more
beautiful than previously. Now I am taking a master course in international business
management of National Economic University. I will graduate afer 6 months more and
I can fine a job which is better than present job. Since I graduated from the University,

I have not gone to work for any company. At present, I am the owner of a book shop.
It was opened last year and business also has profit. I got married last October. If my
friends see me again at this time, they will be surprised at my changes after 3 years.
