Today, young people are dynamic, confident, assertive. They want to self-
employed in work.
With a global recession firmly in place many people find themselves looking,
or preparing to look, for new jobs or careers. One change that is often
contemplated is switching between employment and self-employment
Self-employment is an option an increasing number of students are
considering, and some even start their businesses while studying.
You may have a strong interest or skill in a certain business area, or you may
want more independence and greater job satisfaction. Or self-employment may be
the only option for the career path you wish to pursue.
Definition of self-employed
A situation in which an individual works for himself or herself instead of
working for an employer that pays a salary or a wage. A self-employed individual
earns their income through conducting profitable operations from a trade or
business that they operate directly.
Self-employment is the act of generating one's income directly from

customers, clients or other organizations as opposed to being an employee of a
business (or person).
There are lots of reasons why young people want to be self-employed as:
independence, challenge, opportunity to make money,personal satisfaction, being
your own boss
There's a difference between freelancing and being self-employed. Self-
employed is working for yourself and not employed by a company. And freelance
is earning money by selling your work or services to several different
organizations rather than being employed by one particular organization
Once you start achieving success, you also achieve social prestige,
professional recognition, personal satisfaction, and increased income, which is
only yours.

1.1 Dynamic and self-control: the new trend of young professional world
The career choices of young individuals due to various factors influence:
Interests: Here are factors leading mentioned in almost all the young people
when making decisions for your career. we will go toward road that we like.
Affected families: some families have a tradition of working with a
professional is transmitted through many generations , the main factors have
significantly influence to mind. emotional career of many young. However, the
fact that have cases again reverse can people have the setting the field, they do not
have such a great family weighed.
Health and natural harmony: Healthy people will do a good job in their own
abilities that they can. And the harmony between nature's with health is very
important, workers quickly to new conditions, new job.
Creativity and appreciation of beauty: most career are very necessary to the
creation of who perform. The Successful people is hydrophobic at work repeat
what others have done. Therefore, depending on the creativity of each person that
they will choose a suitable career.

1.2 Trends in cognitive development of young professional Vietnam:
Another trend that many young people find work in the development and
dissemination of industry that over generations has drawn an interesting motto:”

Society is growing, entails that the career choices of young people also
develop in a different direction. Besides preferences, average income by bringing

popular sub-categories of self-employment are home-based businesses and
electronic commerce. So, Self employed jobs have risen definitely over the years.
2 Advantages of self-employed
2.1 Be Your Own Boss
Possibly one of the most exciting and biggest advantages to becoming self-
employed. You never have to listen to, be ordered around or boost your bosses' ego
ever again. You are now the one in control, in charge - the ultimate decision
maker. But just remember becoming your own boss also brings its own huge
responsibilities and challenges!
2.2The opportunity to choose your own hours
Becoming self-employed means you decide when and how much you work.
You choose your own holidays and days off. This can a be an amazing advantage
as you can now build your work around your own personal schedule. Remember
though to actually take time off as when starting out you can easily become work

obsessed, obviously it is essential to work hard but it is equally important to have
time to reflect and relax.
2.3Do what you want
Becoming self-employed allows you to do something that is not common in
the workplace - work on what you want. All too often we are stuck in jobs and
careers where we are not happy, dissatisfied or bored, but unfortunately we have
no choice but to stay there. However, becoming self-employed can be the perfect
remedy for this. Self- Employment allows you to be as creative and imaginative as
you like.
2.4You will have the chance to put your ideas into the business.
Hopefully your business is in a field or area that you enjoy. Your business
can be adaptable to what you see that needs to be done. This flexibility makes
small businesses able to change virtually overnight to meet a perceived need

In the course of running your business you will learn important skills such as
marketing, accounting, negotiating and selling which are sought after skills in the
workforce

When you become self-employed, you now decide who choose to work
with. You will not have to work with people who you dislike. A new era has
arrived where you have the opportunity to totally wipe the slate clean and surround
yourself with a whole new circle of professional associates all of whom you have
chosen personally for attributes and skills that will be useful to you and your
budding venture.
2.7Working From Home
Being self-employed means you can work from the comfort of your own
home and you can set up your working space how and where you like it. But more
importantly you will not have to fork out hard earned cash on travel expenses,
travel time or rent for premises.
3 Disadvantages of self-employed

3.1. Risk of failure.
Most new businesses fail in their first years. When you are self-employed, it
is your own money or money that you have borrowed at risk. Having your own
business increases the problems associated with failure.
3.2. Your decisions can be wrong.
There will be no one to bail you out from your mistakes. And as a general rule,
you cannot move forward without some mistakes. The big question is, can you
learn from your errors and be adaptable?
3.3. Owning your own business can require a sacrifice of your personal life,
you may need to work long, long hours, you may need to work on weekends, and
you may not have a vacation for several years.
3.4. Your income stream may fluctuate throughout the year. You may have
very little to live on during the early times.
3.5. Your health insurance and pension costs are not included automatically.
When comparing self-employment income to a job, you need to remember the
employee benefits that are associated with employment such as health insurance or
perhaps a pension contribution to a 401(k) are not automatically included. You
will have to meet these needs from your income.
3.6. Strict record keeping and attention to detail are very important. You
will have the ultimate responsibility for such things as the required licenses, sales
tax returns, employment and unemployment taxes returns, payroll information, and
income tax returns. The details that are recorded on these documents will need to
come from your record keeping system.
3.7. Some tasks may be unpleasant. You may find yourself doing things that
you do not enjoy, but no one else is there to do them. This may include firing
employees, or saying “no” to a family member looking for work.
3.8. You may have a hard time hiring qualified employees.
3.9. There is always a risk of being sued. Creditors and customers may
possess the ability to seek your personal assets if you default on your business
obligations. If a customer or vendor believes you acted in error, he may file a

lawsuit against you. To protect your assets, you can seek liability insurance for
your business, but some new business owners may find it difficult to afford
insurance premiums.
2.4 How to be self- employed?
1.Self-awareness
You need to decide the best action for the goals that you have set out from
the beginning. This process requires you to always consider and analyze the best
and you should write down your goals, ambitions, desires. Doing so, you will
know who you are, what to do and what direction to those values.
2. Know What You Want
Hard work and skills are all well and good, but without an overarching
direction, you’ll never be able to realize your full potential. Make sure that you
know where you want to end up, and examine every step you take to make sure it
lines up with your end goal. If it doesn’t, that may be a sign that you need to
reevaluate that step and head in a different direction.
3. Conscious of your actions
The autonomy depends on whether you are aware of what to do and what
not to do. If you are not really aware of it, your actions will not be adjusted
suitably.
4. Consistent with your objectives
Writing down goals or the things you pursue is not enough. You must have
the determination to implement these goals.Let’s remember that no one can be
successful without facing difficulties. So follow through with the goals set.
5. The bravery
Autonomy yourself, does not suffer from any mistake is incredibly difficult
when emotions, desires, passions have always drawn strength against your
determination. So, to get the autonomy and self-control depends very much on the
courage to face with this difficulties, lure.

If you’re not constantly learning and improving, you’re not going to remain

be learning and adjusting to give yourself the best advantage in whatever field of
work you’re in.

cope with difficult problems of life. Many young people can not overcome the

overcome the temptation to then stumbled outside into the social evils problem
set the stage for a challenging development opportunities so, how young people
can build a strong leader to be able to live proactive approach with opportunities
for personal development , and dare to confront and overcome the challenges of
life so mastering yourself is essential for teens to cope with reality. Currently, the
self-employed myself as a trend of young people, that they gradually take
responsibility for themselves and the society entering flowers quickly.
Helping young people find ways to confront and overcome the
psychological pressure of work and study as well as other complex relationships in
your life. Each individual will know how to adjust to fit most needs and
development perfecting each one. Recognizing themselves as well as the process
of discovering latent capacity within each person, thereby contributing to our
confidence.
In other ways, the young people have self-control is essential in this modern
society, bringing confidence, decisive for the future of the young generation
