Always examine each photo carefully before
listening and ask yourself these questions.
Who?
What?
When?
Where?
How?
For one-person photos: pay attention to the
action of the person.
For two-or-more-than-two-people photos:
pay attention to the interaction or the
common action between them.
Pay attention to the main things in the photos.
However, it is also a good idea to sometimes look
at the minor (smaller) things in the photos.
Special attention should also be paid to the
present continuous tense, present perfect
tense and passive voice.
Keep in mind that only key words (nouns,
verbs, adjectives, adverbs) can help.
So do not get disappointed if you cannot
catch every single word while listening.
There are some common traps as follows:
similar sounds
Eg: sun – son, rate – late, rain – train, fruit – flute
prepositions
Eg: in, on, at, in front of, behind, under, above,
etc.
words that have the same spelling but different
