A little starling saw the
first stars of the night. “I


know a nice cow that lives
here,” she said. “I’ll stop at
Cow’s barn for the night.”

Robin hopped onto the
branch.
Soon Lark came flying by.
“Can I please sit by you?”
called Lark.
“Yes, come join us,” said
Robin. “There is always
room for more.”

Crash! Down they all
went!
Cow called out loud,
“Are you hurt?”
“No,” said the birds.

“Join me,” said Cow.
“There is room for all of
you in the barn.”
“Thank you very much!”
This time, Starling sat
by Cow.
Robin sat by Starling.
Lark sat by Robin.
Stork sat by Lark.

well in Cow’s barn.
