EASTER IN THE US
Many Americans celebrate Easter every spring. The Easter celebration usually lasts for three days and
includes many interesting activities. In some American cities, they have Easter parades with colorful
costumes, live music, street performers, and lots of delicious food.
A traditional dinner on Easter Sunday is roast lamb with mint jelly, sweet potatoes and vegetables.
Nowadays, many restaurants offer special Easter dinners and entertainment for the whole family. Many
communities have games, Easter egg hunts, photos with the Easter Bunny, and chocolate Easter treats
for the kids.
Easter is fun for children. They often paint real eggs in pretty colors and go on Easter eggs hunts.
Parents hide Easter eggs in the house and in the yard, and children try to find as many as they can to
fill their Easter baskets
