most useful in our life.

For me, mobile phones help me learn English. I download the free
software to learn English on the website. Then I can learn vocabulary, grammar
at home everyday.
For the student, they prefer texting messages to calling. Because, texting
messages will save a little money. Especially, mobile phones help people manage
time.
Mobile phone is really necessary for everyone.
Topic 2: In your opinion, what are the good sides and the bad sides
of mobile phone.
Mobile phone is very necessary for our life.
You can keep in touch with others by making a call and texting messages.
You also can listen to music, play games, take a photo and surf Internet. The
student use mobile phones for studying. Mobile phone is really useful.
However, mobile phones also have the bad sides.
People often spend more time playing games, surfing Internet on mobile
phones. It not only affects your health but also wastes money. Talking on mobile
phones for long time is a bad habit. You can have a headache.
You need to find out about the good sides and the bad sides of mobile
phones before using them.
Topic 3: Describe an important traditional festival in your country.
Mid - Autumn is the important festival in the year which is held on the

lunar August.

It is an interesting festival for children. Adults often buy some gifts for
children such as lanterns and toys. The children often see lion - dancing in the
evening.
The festival also is an occassion that adults give Moon cakes to friends
and relatives.
In the Mid - Autumn Eve, members of family enjoy the moon cakes and
fruits together.
Vonlunteers are very busy in this festival. They always donate the moon
cakes, the lanterns for poor children before the Mid - Autumn Eve.
Mid - Autumn brings joys for everyone. Mid - Autumn will be more funs
if we share it with the poor.
Topic 4: Describe a festival in the world which you are most
impressed.
Oktoberfest is the largest festival in the world, every year more than 6
millions people attending. It held annually in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. The
festival is now 17 days when the first Sunday is October 2 and 18 days when it is
October 1. The Oktoberfest is an important part of Bavarian culture. It has been
held since 1810.
The festival is held in an area named the Theresienwiese,located near
Munich's center. The brewers produced a special beer with ingredients of malt
and more hops (hence the higher alcohol content) for this festival. Beer is sold in
the tents with the dishes such as roast chicken,roast pork Before the festival, the
owners of the tents will parade. The festival consumes about 6 million liters of
beer every year.
Other cities across the world also hold Oktoberfest celebrations, modeled
after the original Munich event.
Topic 5: Talk about how people could improve the environment.
Nowadays, Improving the environment is the most important problem.
Locally, rubbish needs to be classified and recycled. Smoke from
factories and vehicles make environmental pollution. So many trees must be

planted in the city. We need to protect the river by not throwing garbage and
dumping chemicals.
Nationally, we need to save energy by turning off electrical equipments
when we aren't using them. Farmers don't use too many pesticides on the farms.
Everyone should use solar energy to replace oil, coal and gas.
Globally, we should use paper bags and cloth bags instead of plastic bags.
Especially, To protect the ozone layer, we mustn't use CFC (Chloro Fluoro -
Cacbon)
I believe that the environment will be improved in the future.
Topic 6: Talk about the global issue that you are concerned about
and suggest the possible solution.
Nowadays, people are concerned about forest fires. Because the forest
fires would cause the serious consequences. Plants would be destroyed. Animals
would be in danger. Natural resources would take many years to recover.
Especially, the air would be polluted by smoke. If the fire spreaded, the villages
near the forest could burn.
We would immediately notify firefighters of the forest fires. Water trucks
would be used to fight fire. We could use helicopters to spray CO
2
. The old and
children would move to a safe place. Torists would be banned into the forest. We
would prepare the food and many kind of medicines for everyone.
People must actively reforestation. The farmers mustn't burn the forests to
have farmland. It's important, we would raise the awareness of people about
protecting the forest.
Topic 7: Talk about one crime you have been told about.
One afternoon, my brother went to the movie theater with his friends.
While he was buying tickets, someone stole his mobile phone.
Immediately, he realized that he lost his phone. He looked around but he
didn't find the thief. Then, he went to the police station to report.

He told the police about the robbery and described the characteristics of
his phone. A police officer asked him if his mobile phone had GPS (global
positioning system). And he told the police officer that he had used GPS. GPS
helped him find the location of the mobile phone.
The policeman went to the thief 's house. They discovered that the thief
was trying to unlock the phone. The thief was arrested. Finally, he got his old
mobile phone.
Topic 8: Talk about your favorite book you have read.
"The Last Leaf" is my favorite book. It's a short story set in Greenwich
Village. The book is written by the American author O. Henry in 1907.
The sort story revolve around Sue and Johnsy, two young female artists
who live in a boarding house. Behrman is an old artist also lived there.
Johnsy is ill. She watches the leaves fall from a vine outside the window
of her room. She decides that when the last leaf drops, she will die. Sue tells
Behrman about the story of Johnsy. He draws the last leaf in rainy night in the
wall opposite her room. Johnsy sees the last leaf that hasn't dropped in the big
storm. So Johnsy thinks again, and she hopes to live. Then, Behrman died of
pneumonia. Finally, Johnsy has known the secret of the last leaf.
I think "The Last Leaf" is a short story that brings many emotions and
meanings. I identify with Mr Behrman. Mr Behrman saved Johnsy from the
death. The book is thought - provoking. I thoroughly recommend it.
Topic 9: What are the advantages and the disadvantages of
computer.
Computer is one of the most important inventions of human.
There are many the advantages of computer such as it can help you
automate various tasks that you can't do manually. The Computer can help you
organize your data and information. You can contact to everyone, relax and
search information quickly through a computer with Internet connection. Today,
the computer is an useful device to be used in teaching and learning.
However, the computer also has many the disadvantages. Too much time

in front of monitor may adversely affect your eyesight and your health. A lot of
people are dependent on computers, so they become lazy. Your life will be
affected if you are addicted to computer. You don't maintain the balance between
real life and virtual life.
You need to find out about the advantages and the disadvantages of
computers before using them.
Topic 10: If you ruled the world, what would you do.
If I ruled the world, firsly I would move factories out the city. Because
smoke and chemicals from the the factories caused cancer. If the factories made
environmental pollution, they would be banned production and compensated
money for patients. .
Secondly, we would use paper bags and cloth bags instead of plastic bags.
Because a plastic bag takes one thousand years to decompose. To protect the
environment and water resources, we wouldn't use plastic bags.
Finally, I would help the poor and the homeless. I would give free meals
for them. They would be trained to work in the factories. They would live in the
houses that were built by the government.
I believe, the environment and our life would be improved.
