Make compound sentences
Combine each of the following pairs of sentences into
compound sentences
using an appropriate conjunction.
1. I called her many times. She didn’t answer the phone.
2. He is intelligent. He is honest.
3. He is old. He is active.
4. He lost his reputation. He brought a bad name to his family.
5. You may spend the night here. You may go home.
6. I reached the counter. I took my purse out. There was no money in it.
7. The way may be long. We may feel tired. We will not give up hope.
8. We took part in the competition. We did not win any prize.
9. Our servant is slow. He is honest. He is dependable.
10. Leave the house at once. I will call the police.
