VI. Read the text carefully and then choose true or
false:
Many people still believe that natural resources will
never be used up. Actually, the world’s energy resources
are limited. Nobody knows exactly how much fuel is left.
However we also should use them economically and try
to find out alternative sources of power. According to
Professor Marvin Burnham of the New England Institute
of Technology, we have to start conserving coal, oil and
gas before it was too late, and nuclear power is the only
alternative.
However, many people do not approve of using
nuclear power because it is very dangerous. What would
happen if there were a serious nuclear accident? Radio
activity causes cancer and may badly affect the future
generations.
The most effective thing is that we should use
natural resources as economically as possible.
41. No one still believe that natural resources will never
be used up.
42. We should use coal, oil and gas as much as possible
and try to find out alternative sources of power.

Clothes can tell a lot about a person. Some people like very colorful clothes because they want everyone to
look at them and they want to be the center of things. Other people like to wear nice clothes, but their clothes are not
colorful or fancy. They do not like people to look at them.
Clothes today are very different from the clothes of the 1800s. One difference is the way they look. For example, in
the 1800s, all women wore dresses. The dresses all had long skirts. But today, women do not always wear dress with
long skirts. Sometimes they wear short skirts. Sometimes they wear pants. Another difference between 1800s and
