Văn Khánh: Hi, I'm Khanh. I'm in Class 5/1. I play the Apple tree, too.

THE PIGLET LEARNS A LESSON
Narrator: There were three friends: Rabbit, Elephant and Pig.
One day, the elephant saw a "Help Wanted" sign to work for Mrs. Red Hen.
Rabbit:

Let's go apply. Now we have some fun work to do.
Hey! Where is Pig?
Wake up, Pig. Let's go do some fun work.

Elephant: So lazy! I'll carry him myself.
Mrs. Hen: What work do you like to do?
Elephant: I'm a strong Elephant. I like heavy labor.

Rabbit:

I'm a smart Rabbit. I like doing creative things.

Mrs. Hen: What about you?
Pig:

I'm a cute Pig. I like to eat and sleep.

Mrs. Hen: I'll hire you to work during your school holidays.
Narrator: And they all 3 started their first day of work.
But sadly, pig can't help them work.
Mrs. Hen: Oh! Pig, what's wrong with your arm?
Pig:

I don't know. It really hurts.
I don't think I can help gather the corn today.

Mrs. Hen: That's OK. Let's eat breakfast and the others can go work.
Narrator: When they arrived at the corn field, Rabbit and Elephant happily worked
while pig slept under a tree.
Pig:

Ouch!

Elephant: Sorry, Pig, are you hurt?
Pig:

Yes, it hurts a lot

Rabbit:

Quickly take Pig to the house for medicine.

Narrator: That day, the children worked gathering apples.
But Pig can't help as usual. He said his leg was hurt.
Elephant: What a shame! Pig can't have fun working with us.
Rabbit:

Pig, you go rest under the apple tree. We'll do the work ourselves.

Elephant: I should use my weight to shake the tree.
We can get many apples to fall from the tree.
Rabbit:

Let's do it. Shake the tree. 1,2,3.

Pig:

Oh! What happened?

Rabbit:

Oh, no! The apples fell on Pig.

Elephant: Wow! Pig is hurt again. How bad for him!
Mrs. Hen: Today we will clean the house.
Pig:

I have an awful headache and a fever, too.

Narrator: Mrs. Red Hen let Pig go rest upstairs.
Elephant and Rabbit deligently cleaned the house.
Mrs. Hen: Oh! Pig is very hungry. I'll take some food to him.
Pig is lying the whole time. He took advantage of his friends.
I have a plan to change Pig's bad personality.
Narrator: Mrs. Red Hen fixed the special meal for the 3 friends.
Elephant: Wow! Apple pie. It looks and smells so good.
Rabbit:

Wow! Corn baked in butter. It's my favourite.

Mrs. Hen: Now, it's your turn, Pig.
I saw you was sick every day. So I gave you medicine.
And I have special gifts for you, too.
This box is for Elephant.
This box is for Rabbit
And that big box is for Pig.
Narrator: Elephant got a new suit and Rabbit got new shoes.
Rabbit/ Elephant: What did you get, Pig? Open your gift.
Doctor:

Surprise! I'm a doctor. Come here, Pig. I'll give you a shot.

No. I don't like needles. Help me!

Mrs. Hen: You was sick every day. So this is your gift.
Pig:

I'm not really sick. I lied. I was just too lazy to work. Now, I know I was
wrong.

Mrs. Hen: OK! Now that you've sorry for your mistake. I won't tease you anymore.
Doctor, you can stop now.
I'm going to miss all of you.
Please come again during your next school holidays.
All:

Sure.

Narrator: Since then, the Pig is never lazy again.
