Question words

I. Grammar:


1. Question Words/ Wh Words
- Trong tiếng Anh ta có những từ dùng để hỏi là “who, whom, which, what, where,
when, why, how”.
- Khi những từ dùng để hỏi “who, whom, which, what, where, when, why, how” đóng
vai trò chủ ngữ trong câu, ta có cấu trấu sau:
Question words + verb + object?

Ex: 1. Who teaches you English?
2. Which is better?
Khi những từ để hỏi đóng vai trò làm tân ngữ hay trạng từ, ta công thức sau:
Question word + Auxilliary Verbs + subject + verb + (object)?

Ex: 1. Where did he meet her?
2. When did he come here?


2. How…?
- Khi muốn hỏi về phương tiện đi lại của một người nào đó, ta dùng cấu trúc sau:
How + do/does + Subject + verb?
. Subject + verb(s/es) + by + danh từ chỉ phương tiện

Ex: 1. How do you go to school? – I go to school by bicycle.
2. How does your mother go to work? – My mother goes to work by motorbike.

By + bicycle: bằng xe đạp
By + motorbike: bằng xe máy
By + car: bằng xe ô tô
By + bus: bằng xe buýt

By + train: bằng xe lửa


3. How far is it?
- Khi muốn hỏi khoảng cách từ đâu đến đâu, ta dùng cấu trúc sau:
How far is it + from … + to…?
. It’s about + …meter/ kilometer.

Ex: 1. How far is it from your house to school?
. It’s about 1 kilometer.


4. Why…?
- Khi muốn hỏi lý do của một hành động, ta dùng cấu trúc sau:
Why + be + subject + complement?
Why + do/ does + subject + verb?
Hay
- Để trả lời câu hỏi này ta dùng:
Because + subject + verb.
Ex: Why don’t you go to school today?
. Because I am ill.

1. Đặt câu hỏi với “How far” và trả lời theo gợi ý:
Ex: your house/ bus stop// one kilometer.
. How far is it from your house to the bus stop?
. It’s (about) one kilometer.

How far is it from your school to the library?



It’s about one kilometer.


2. Đặt câu hỏi với “How” và trả lời theo các từ gợi ý:
Ex. 1. Hoa/ go/ the museum// bike.


How does Hoa go to the museum? – She goes to the museum by bike.

Ex. 2. they/ travel/ work//bus.


How do they travel to work? – They travel to work by bus.

How does Nam go to the post office?




Nam goes to the post office by bike.

2. Nga and Lan/ go/school// school bus.
How do Nga and Lan go to school?

Nga and Lan go to school by school bus.

3. your father/ travel/ Ha Noi// plane.
How does your father travel to Ha Noi?



My father travels to Ha Noi by plane.

How do the children to go the zoo?



The children go to the zoo by bus.





