Conjunctions: and/so/but/because
And: và – nối 2 vế song song, bằng nhau về mặt ngữ pháp hoặc ngữ nghĩa. (He is
a student and I’m a doctor.)
So: vì vây – chỉ quan hệ nguyên nhân kết quá, so thường đứng giữa câu. (I feel
sick so I’m off from work to go to the hospital for general health check.)
But: nhưng – chỉ quan hệ đối lập, trái nghĩa, but đứng giữa câu. (I want to buy that
dress but I’m out of money.)
Because: bởi vì – quan hệ nguyên nhân kết quả, because có thể đứng ở đầu hoặc
giữa câu. (Because he wants to buy an apartment, he’s working really hard./ He’s
working really hard because he wants to buy an apartment.)

h. Possessive pronouns and Whose – Question
 Possessive Pronouns - Đại từ sở hữu (mine/yours/his/hers/theirs/ours)

Dùng để rút gọn câu và thay thế cho các tính từ sở hữu
(my/your/his/her/their/our).

Đại từ sở hữu chỉ cần dùng 1 mình cũng có nghĩa, còn tính từ sở hữu cần đi
kèm sau đó là 1 danh từ.
My – mine (It’s my book = It’s mine)
Your – yours (It’s your book = It’s yours)
His – His (It’s his book = It’s his)
Her – Hers (It’s her book = It’s hers)

Its = Its
Our = Ours
Their = theirs

 Whose là câu hỏi dùng để hỏi vật sở hữu của ai đó

Whose coat is this? – It’s Jane’s (It’s hers)
Whose car is this? – It’s Jim’s (It’s his)
