Nowadays few people will dispute the importance of vocabulary, especially the need for active vocabulary
practice The Test Your Vocabulary books filled this need when they first came out, and they continue to

Test Your Vocabulary 3 1s the fourth book mm the senes and 1s mtended for intermediate students and

above, especially those studying for the Cambridge First Certificate exammation There are fifty-seven
tests and approximately 950 words in the book There are tests on word-building, phrasal verbs and
idioms, as well as picture tests (including ones on the signs of the Zodsac and musical instruments), plus
tests on confusmg words, antonyms, prepositions British and Amencan English rhyming words, animal
sounds, adjective-noun collocations and words with more than one meaning
