Situation: A man is telling a story about his old professor.
The old professor
Some years ago, I (1)__ (meet) an old professor of mine. Sixteen years had
passed since I last saw him at the university. We used to be very close friends. Since I
graduated from the journalism course, I (2) (work) for sixteen years as a sports writer.

What have you been doing lately?
I’ve been living here for almost two months.
My wife has been working at the hospital since December.
She’s also been writing a book in her spare time.
The present perfect and the present perfect continuous are often interchangeable. However,
in some cases the continuous shows that an action is not yet finished.
My wife has been writing a book means that she has not yet finished the book.
My wife has written a book means that she has finished the book.
Jim and Lorraine Hardy recently moved to Maine. Complete the sentences about what
they have been doing since then. Use the Present Perfect Continuous.

Here’s the latest on Jim and Lorraine. I told you they’ve moved to Maine,
