PHRASAL VERB THROUGH EXAMPLES

wait sth out: if you wait out an event, period, or time, especially an unpleasant one, you wait for it to finish

hold sb back from doing sth: to make sb hesitate to act or speak

hang over sb: if sth bad or unpleasant is hanging over you, you think about it and worry about it a lot
