I usually go shopping with my parents and rent a family movie on Saturday,
and I will hang out with my friends. Girls will drink something together and gossip a
bit.

2.What are you going to (planning to) do next weekend?

Next weekend, I will hang out with my friends, and find some best-kept secret
restaurants to enjoy a meal together. After that, we will go to a jazz club or live
house, as I’m a die-hard jazz fan.

Well, I have lots of hobbies I like to do in my spare time. I am very interested
in studying English and I’m also quite into movies - sometimes I combine these two
interests by watching British or American movies. What I particularly enjoy doing,
though, is playing football- it’s so exciting!

4.When do you spend time with your family.

We eat dinner together every night. And during weekends, we sometimes go to
cinema or go to grocery to do some shopping together.

5.What did you do last week?

Last weekend I went to ABC library to prepare for IELTS test with my
friends. It was effective to practice spoken English with a partner so that he can pick
up my grammar mistakes or pronunciation problem. We also had a big dinner in the
evening in XYZ town.
6.What do other people in your hometown(or, in your country) usually do
on weekends?
They are all busy with their work on weekdays, so when weekends comes, they

won’t go far but stay at home watching a movie with their family or having a
sleepover.

7.Do you think it is important to make the most of your weekends?
Yes, it’s time for family reunion. Since I have to work from Monday to Friday,
so I spend most of the weekends with my family, shopping or travelling together. I
think that’s what makes a family close when you spend time with them.

Yes. I need more rest now. Studying is tired but I can see classmates and hang
out with them every day when I was a child. Working is quite different from
studying, getting pressure, a lot of problems waiting to be solved. Weekends are the
only chance you can rest a little bit and have fun with family.

Yes, I often swim at night. It is said that swimming is one of the most effective
all-round exercise, and it can keep me in good shape. I think it’s a stress-relieving
type of activity. So after intense work, I usually go swimming to relax myself.

Playing sports has a lot of benefits. Basically, it can make our bodies strong,
keep us in good health. Even a little bit of movement contributes a lot to people’s
health. Besides, research shows that exercise boosts mood. For example, my grandma
take 30 minutes to do exercise every day, she said that she had a better mood and be
happier.

Both of the two ways have its features. Playing sports on my own allows me
more freedom. I can do exercise according to my own schedule. Also, I can choose
what sport to take based on my own needs. In contrast, playing sports in a group can
foster team spirit and develop people’s cooperative ability.

4.Do children need to exercise?

Of course. Doing exercise is important for children. Children are undergoing
fast physical development, lack of physical exercise may produce negative influence
on their life. Through exercise, children can grow stronger and be more confident. In
addition, sports also help strengthen immunity. So every child need about 60 minutes
of physical exercise every day.

5.Why do people need to play sports?
People need to play sports because it is a good way of relaxing. When we are
tired of work or study, doing sports may be the best way to relax our mind and body.
As we can see, more and more people choose to play football, go swimming or do
other kinds of exercise in leisure time. Besides, it also help us make lots of new

Example Answer

I made a compromise with my addiction to the paper book by reading more

Well, I am an avid book lover and if you really understand what a good book
means to a true bibliophile, then you should know it is not uncommon that they buy
far more books than they can possibly read. I just can’t help it since I enjoy going to
the bookstore when it is possible. It feels great to rest with a book at a random corner
in the sea of books and know that people around you are book lover as well. But
more going to the books store means more book purchases and I want to curse the
world for it brings us so many wonderful books at such a staggering pace. what’s
worse, online purchase is so convenient that even I have no time to the book store I
frequent, I can buy whatever books I want. By the way, it feels great too to receive
the delivery of books at my door.
The books I own growing rapidly, so do ones I am yet to read. it is a toil every
time I moved to a new rented home and it is a much greater one every time I saw the
stacks of unread book lie there silently, and they all cost me a big chunk of my
income. So after I moved to a new house again, I made a long and hard self-reflection
on my weakness about books. I consulted several friends who were book lover as
well, I search on Google for more similar stories and advice.
what useful and practical advice I got were avoiding spending triggers and
getting Ebooks. I intended to cut me off from activity or places that can trigger
spending. I went to book stores, online or offline, far less frequently, while instead I
spent more time on reading. And as for the Ebooks, it has taken me some time to
warm up to Ebooks, but I’m almost there. I know they can save me money —
especially if I head to Project Gutenberg and get books in the public domain. Many

great, literary classics are available for free via Project Gutenberg and other outlets.
Over time, you can save quite a bit by not paying for physical books.

To form a habit is boring and sometimes tiring, but after it take roots, things
begin to play out naturally. I read more, pay less, and more importantly I am happier.
