Information systems always plays an important role in running an organization.
Organizations can use information systems with different purposes. In the internal
management, information systems will help achieve internal understanding, unity
of action, maintaining the strength of the organization and gain competitive
advantage. With external information systems help capture more information than
or improving customer service, enhancing competitiveness and creating the
momentum for growth. This essay will show that the accountants who have

knowledge of information system will support effectively for manager in making
decision.

2, Information system in organizations
The information system is a system that includes elements linked together to act as
collection, processing, storage and distribution of information and data and provide
a feedback mechanism to achieve a predetermined goal. Information is a key factor
for the survival and development of any organization in general, of enterprises in
particular; especially in the current conditions with fierce competition and
aggressive, the information needs to be organized into a scientific system, allowing
managers can harness the information thoroughly. In management, information
system is responsible for providing the information necessary for the management
of an organization operating. Composition occupy important positions in
management information systems is a unified database containing information
reflects the internal structure of the system and information about the activities
taking place in the system. With kernel is consolidated database, management
information systems can support many different functional areas and can give
managers the tools and the ability to easily access information, management
information system with key functions such as: the information is collected,
analyzed and stored in a systematic way, the useful information is structured to be
able to store and exploitation on the means of computerization, changing,

distributing and providing information.

3, Accountant’s task
The job of the accountants are records, systematize, process and provide
information about the entire economic activity, finance unit, enabling the executive
management and economic operations management, financial units, as well as set
out the economic management decisions. In organization, accountants have some
tasks: Recording transactions. General information on all transaction about

economic activities or financial tasks of company will be recorded in accounting
book. In each unit there are many accounting books, each ledger is used to record
different purposes. Based on the documents collected, the accountant shall classify,
aggregate to record the accounting books correctly. Establishing finance report.
The final aim of accounting work is to provide information to unit leaders, on that
basis, unit leaders can make the appropriate management measures to promote
growing unit. To accomplish this purpose, monthly, quarterly, annually, accounting
staff have to synthesize data from the accounting books and records to create
financial report sent to unit leaders. Collecting information about economy,
financial activities, accounting standard so on. As we might know in a firm has
may parts such as: sales, human resources, marketing, accounting and each part do
different work. These parts are performing economic activities, financial according
to specified functions. Each activity will be recorded in the accounting papers
called voucher as receipts, cash coupon, receipt, an invoice, sales invoices ... These
documents will be transferred to the accountant for handling. Therefore,
information system is very important in accounting. Accounting information
system is an organized system for collecting, storing, processing and distribution of
information in the field of economic, financial base on computer tools and IT
equipment to provide the information necessary for the decision making process
for managing and administering the operation of institutions, enterprises and
businesses.

4, The importance of accountant having knowledge of information
system to support management in effective decision-making
The role of information systems in accounting has been identified as support for
business activities and can help administrators in making decision. The accounting
information system plays an important role in implementing the strategic

objectives of the organization, it includes the provision of information to assist in
the manufacture of products with low cost, quality is maintained, punctual delivery
and encourage the initiative. An accountant with knowledge of information
systems will be capable of using, searching, filtering information quickly,
effectively from databases to take on the financial report, which helps enterprise
executives on understanding the cause and effect relationship. For example, what
make incurred costs; why these activities are not profitable. Identifying the
activities that do not add value.

accountant as well as train staffs to maximize the profit of company.
