1. THÌ HIỆN TẠI ĐƠN

- Ta thêm "es" sau các động từ tận cùng là: O, S, X, CH, SH, Y (Trước Y phải là phụ âm thì đổi Y thành I + ES)
Cách dùng:
+ Thì hiện tại đơn diễn tả một chân lý, một sự thật hiển nhiên.
Ex: The sun ries in the East.
Tom comes from England.
+ Thì hiện tại đơn diễn tả 1 thói quen , một hành động xảy ra thường xuyên ở hiện tại.
Ex: Mary often goes to school by bicycle.
I get up early every morning.
+ Thì hiện tại đơn diễn tả năng lực của con người :
Ex : He plays badminton very well
+ Thì hiện tại đơn còn diễn tả một kế hoạch sắp xếp trước trong tương lai hoặc thời khoá biểu , đặc biệt
dùng với các động từ di chuyển.
Từ nhận biết: : Always, usually, often, sometimes , generally, seldom, etc., (a fact, habit, or repeated action),
every time, as a rule, every day (every other day), once (a month), once in a while

V-ing (Doing): (Động từ +ING) visiting going, ending, walking, ...

Khi thêm -ing sau động từ, có những trường hợp đặc biệt sau:
a/ Nếu như đông từ tận cùng bằng một chữ E: chúng ta bỏ chữ E đó đi rồi mới thêm -ing.
ex:

Ride - Riding (lái - đang lái)

b/ Nếu động từ tận cùng có 2 chữ EE, ta thêm -ing bình thường, không bỏ E.
ex:

See - Seeing. (nhìn - đang nhìn).

c/ Nếu động từ tận cùng là IE, chúng ta đổi IE thành Y rồi mới thêm -ing


ex:

Die - Dying. (chết - đang chết).

d/ Nếu động từ 1 âm tiếtt ở cuối có phụ âm, và trước phụ âm mà có một nguyên âm U-E-O-A-I (UỂ OẢI), ta phải
gấp đôi phụ âm rồi mới thêm ING:
ex:

Cut - cutting
Stop - Stopping

Các trường hợp khác ta thêm -ing sau động từ bình thường.
CÁCH DÙNG:
1. Diễn tả một hành động đang xảy ra ở thời điểm đang nói.
ex: I am reading. ( Tôi đang đọc)
2. Một hành động xảy ra có tính chất tạm thời.
ex: She is working (cô ấy đang làm việc)
3. Một hành động lúc nào cũng xảy ra liên tục. (thường có thêm usually, always... trong câu).
ex: I am usually thinking of you (tôi thường nghĩ về bạn).
a. Chỉ một việc đang xảy ra ngay lúc nói chuyện/hiện hành.
ex: I am reading an English book now.
b. Chỉ việc xảy ra trong tương lai (khi có trạng từ chỉ tương lai).
ex: I am going to call on Mr. John tom / I am meeting her at the cinema tonight.

* Lưu ý :

I, THEY ,WE, YOU + HAVE +V3
SHE, HE, IT + HAS + V3

* Cách dùng:


- Thì hiện tại hoàn thành diễn tả hành động đã xảy ra hoặc chưa bao giờ xảy ra ở 1 thời gian không xác định trong
quá khứ.
- Thì hiện tại hoàn thành cũng được dùng với since và for.
- Since + thời gian bắt đầu (1995, I was young, this morning etc.) Khi người nói dùng since, người nghe phải tính
thời gian là bao lâu.
- For + khoảng thời gian (từ lúc đầu tới bây giờ) Khi người nói dùng for, người nói phải tính thời gian là bao lâu.
- Diễn tả hđ đã xảy ra trong quá khứ, vẫn kéo dài đến hiện tại (có thể đến tương lai).
- Diễn tả hđ xảy ra trong quá khứ nhưng không đề cập đến thời gian cụ thể.
- Diễn tả hđ xảy ra lặp đi lặp lại nhiều lần trong qk nhưng không đề cập đến thời gian.
- Diễn tả hđ xảy ra trong quá khứ còn hậu quả ở hiện tại.
Từ nhận biết:
Never, ever, in the last fifty years, this semester (summer,year…) , since, for, so far, up to now, up until , just, now,
up to the present, yet, recently, lately, in recent years, many times, once, twice, and in his/her whole life , Already,
the first time, the second times, the third times…
Chú ý: s + have/ has + never/ever/ already /just… + v3

- In + năm trong quá khứ (vd: in 1995, 1999), in the old days
5. THÌ QUÁ KHỨ TIẾP DIỄN (Past continuous)
 Khẳng định:

 Diễn tả hành động đang xảy ra tại thời điểm xác định trong quá khứ
Ex:

What were you doing at 8.00 last night ? I was watching television .

 - diễn tả một hành động đang diễn ra thì bị hành động khác xen vào trong quá khứ
Ex:

While I was having a bath, the phone rang .

 Diễn tả hai hành động đang diễn ra cùng một lúc
Ex: I was learning my lesson while my parents were watching TV at 8.30 last night.


 Cách nhận biết:
At that moment

At that time
At this time yesterday
At this time last night
At 4 (5, 6 …) o'clock yesterday
All day yesterday
All last week = during last week

6. THÌ QUÁ KHỨ HOÀN THÀNH (Past perfect)
Khẳng định:

Use
 Diễn tả hành động xảy ra trong một hoàn ảnh khác hoặc thời điểm khác trong quá khứ.
Cách nhận biết
Ex: My parents had already eaten by the time I got home.
Until yesterday , I had never heard about it .
7. TƯƠNG LAI ĐƠN :
S + will + V1 + O
S + will + NOT + V1
Will + S + V1 + O?
*Use: - diễn tả hành động sẽ xảy ra trong tương lai
- diễn tả hành động quyết định nay lúc nói
- Lưu ý: Không sử dụng Will, Shall sau before, after, when, while, as soon as, until, if.

8. THÌ HIỆN TẠI HOÀN THÀNH TIẾP DIỄN (Present Perfect Continuous):
Khẳng định:

Phủ định:

S + have/ has + not + been + V_ing + O

Từ nhận biết:
all day, all week, since, for, for a long time, almost every day this week, recently, lately, in the past week, in recent
years, up until now, and so far.
Cách dùng: Thì hiện tại hoàn thành tiếp diễn nhấn mạnh khoảng thời gian của 1 hành động đã xảy ra trong quá
khứ

9. FUTURE PERFECT TENSE: ( tương lai hoàn thành) (

I. Danh từ (nouns): danh thường được đặt ở những vị trí sau
1. Chủ ngữ của câu (thường đứng đầu câu,sau trạng ngữ chỉ thời gian)
Ex: Maths is the subject I like best.

II. Tính từ (adjectives): Tính từ thường đứng ở các vị trí sau
1. Trước danh từ: Adj + N
Ex: My Tam is a famous singer.
2. Sau động từ liên kết: tobe/seem/appear/feel/taste/look/keep/get + adj
Ex: She is beautiful
Tom seems tired now.
Chú ý: cấu trúc keep/make + O + adj
Ex: He makes me happy

3. Sau “ too”: S + tobe/seem/look....+ too +adj...
Ex: He is too short to play basketball.


4. Trước “enough”: S + tobe + adj + enough...
Ex: She is tall enough to play volleyball.
5. Trong cấu trúc so...that: tobe/seem/look/feel.....+ so + adj + that
Ex: The weather was so bad that we decided to stay at home
6. Tính từ còn được dùng dưới các dạng so sánh( lưu ý tính từ dài hay đứng sau more, the
most, less, as....as)
Ex: Meat is more expensive than fish.

Huyen is the most intelligent student in my class.
7. Tính từ trong câu cảm thán: How +adj + S + V

III. Trạng từ (adverbs): Trạng từ thường đứng ở các vị trí sau
1. Trước động từ thường(nhất là các trạng từ chỉ tàn suất: often, always, usually, seldom....)
Ex: They often get up at 6am.
2. Giữa trợ động từ và động từ thường
Ex: I have recently finished my homework.

8. Trạng từ cũng thường đứng một mình ở đầu câu,hoặc giữa câu và cách các thành phần
khác của câu bằng dấu phẩy(,)

IV. Động từ (verbs): Vị trí của động từ trong câu rất dễ nhận biết vì nó thường đứng sau chủ ngữ
(Nhớ cẩn thận với câu có nhiều mệnh đề).

CÁCH NHẬN BIẾT TỪ LOẠI
I. Danh từ (nouns): danh từ thường kết thúc bằng: -tion/-ation, -ment, -er, -or, -ant, -ing,
-age, -ship, -ism, -ity, -ness
Ex: distribution, information, development, teacher, actor, accountant, teaching, studying, teenage,
friendship, relationship, shoolarship, socialism, ability, sadness, happiness...........
II. Tính từ (adjective): Tính từ thường kết thúc bằng: -ful, -less, -ly, -al, -ble, -ive, -ous, -ish,
