I’m maried and live with my family in a small house in Buon Trap town, Krong Ana District,
Dak Lak provinces.

My house is located on Le hong Phong street. It was built three years ago. It is a small house,
but it is very modern and comfortable. Everything in my house is tidy and united.
It has six rooms: a livingroom, a kitchen, three bedrooms and a toilet. The livingroom is not
very big. It is cool in summer and warm in winter. The bedrooms are all painted in violet color, so
they look bright and clean.
In front of my house, there is a small garden with various kinds of flowers. It is the place
where my family gathers and relaxes after hard working days.
I love my house very much and nothing can be compared with my beloved home./.

I speak 2 languages: Vietnamese and English. Vietnamese is my first language and English
is my second language. English is one of my favourite subjects. However, I have learnt English for
just a few months.
In my opinon, English is not easy at all. However, I am doing my best to learn it because I
realize that it is the most popular language for communication, business, commerce and
technology. At present, I have no opportunity to contact native English-speaking people and find it
hard to develop my speaking skill.

Weather in Viet Nam

My name’s bao Thi. I’m thirty-two years old. I have taught Chemistry in Buon Trap
secondary school. Now I’d like to talk you about weather in Viet Nam.
Viet Nam is a tropical country. There are four seasons in North Viet Nam: Spring, Summer,
Autumn and Winter.
The weather is warm and pleasant in Spring and Autumn, hot in summer and cold in winter.
In the South and highland, there are only two seasons: the rainy season and the dry season.
The rainy season ofter runs early May to late November. The dry season ofter begins early
December to late ofter runs early May to late November April. During the rainy season, it rains
eveyday and sometimes causes floods. It rains most in September. Contrastly, It rarely rains in the
dry season. The sun is very hot.

I have lived in Dak Lak, so I prefer the rainy season when the weather is cool with the green
trees and flowers. Especially, it has many kinds of fruit in this season.

I live in Buon Ma Thuot city where there are 2 seasons in the year: the dry season and the
rainy season.
The dry season often begins in October and ends in April. It is called dry season because it
does not rain or it rains very little, but trees in the region are are still as green as usual. The sun
shines in the sky from early morning to late in the evening. The average temperature is about 28 to
33 C. I like dry season because I do not have to take raincoats when I go out.
The rainy season often begins in May and ends in October. It rains a lot during the season.
The average temperature is about 25 to 30 C. I hate rainy season because whenever I go out, I
have to take umbrellas or raincoats. Moreover, the streets are dirty and the climate is wet and cold.
In sum, the weather in Buon Ma Thuot city is quite different from that in the North of VietNam
and it is the typical feature of my hometown.

My holiday

Last summer holiday, my family decided to spend our holiday in Nha Trang and it is one of my
most memorable holidays.
We spent a day preparing and packing things for the journey. We started early in the
morning, at about 4 a.m. We went by car and arrived in Nha Trang at noon. We stayed at a hotel
with a very beautiful seaview, right on the beach. The hotel served very good seafoods such as:
crabs, lobsters, fish…
We went swimming early in the morning. In the afternoon, we visited Vinpearl land and
sevaral resorts in Nha Trang.
Besides, nightlife in Nha Trang was very exciting, with a lot of entertainment. The people were
friendly and hospitable.
We were so excited and energetic after the holiday. I think it was one of the most interesting
holidays I have ever had in my life.

Health is the most precious thing in people’s life. Eveyone wants to have a good health and
we often wish each other a good health. However, an important thing to us is to know how to keep

fit.
As for foods, we should have healthy foods such as: vegetables, eggs, fish, cereal and fruit.
We should not eat too much sugar, fat and salt. They are not good for our health and cause many
serious diseases.
As for drinks, we should drink a lot of water, about 2 litres a day. We should avoid drinking too
much wine and beer.
As for our daily habits, we should avoid bad habits such as: staying up and getting up late.
Get enough sleep and do regular exercises or play sports.
In sum, in order to keep fit, we should become a wiseman. We should eat healthy foods, drink
a lot of water, get enough sleep and do regular exercises.

I’d like to talk about one of the most interesting place to visit. It is also the place where I was
born and grew up. It’s Hue city.
Hue is the city in Vietnam. It is the former capital city of our country and it is well-known for its
monuments and architecture. The city itself is located in the central region of Vietnam, and is the
capital city of Thua Thien Hue province.
It is built on the banks of the Huong River. The North side of the river is the Citadel, the centre
of the historic city. Most of Hue’s important monuments, temples and pagodas are found in this
area. The South side of the river is newer, and contains most of the city’s business and residental
areas.
In sum, Hue is beautiful and peaceful. I love to live in this beautiful city so much.

developing city. It has a population of about 400.000 people. The people here are very friendly and
hospitable.
Buon Ma Thuot has mixed weather. It is not very cold in winter and not so hot in summer.
The climate here is suitable for industrial plants such as: coffee, rubber, pepper.
Buon Ma Thuot has a very famous specialty: Buon Ma Thuot coffee, Amacong wine.
Besides, Buon Ma Thuot is very famous for its beautiful landscapes: Yorkdon National park, Lak
lake, DrayNu waterfall.

Firstly, when living in big cities, we can enjoy a lot of entertainment. For example, we can go
to the cinema to see films, go to the concert hall to listen to music or go to the restaurants or café
to enjoy foods and drinks.
Secondly, living in big cities, we can get better education, better job opportunities and better
health care. As you know, there are so many good schools and universities in big cities.

smoke from factories and no noise from the vehicles,too. So the environment is clean and fresh.
Secondly, people in the countryside are friendly, simple and hospitable. They eat and use
what they produce. The foods and vegetables here are very good. The population is not crowded,
so social evils are not popular in the country. The visitors are warmly welcome.

countryside.
