4638 the lion and the mouse

1. Have a look at the pictures, read the following
paragraphs and rearrange them to make the fable up according
to the pictures above:

) The lion was very amused by what the little mouse had said.”Oh, you
are very brave to plead with the king of the jungle”, the lion said Laughing. But
at last, he set the mouse free.

) From that time forwards the lion and the mouse were the very best of
friends.

) One day a little mouse was hurrying through the forest. in its rush, it ran
into a lion who was taking a nap under a large tree.
(
) A few days later the lion was roaming the jungle. He fell into a trap set
by hunters. The trap was made out of rope. The lion was not able to free
himself. He roared and roared.

) “Oh , noble King of the jungle!”, squeaked the trembling mouse. “Please
forgive me for waking you! If you will spare me, I shall never forget it. One day,
I might be able to help you”.

) The Mouse heard its roar and ran through the forest towards the sound.
Using its sharp teeth, it began gnawing through the ropes of the net. The


mouse chewed a hole large enough to free the mighty lion. The lion said,
“Thank you little mouse. you are a good friend”
