1. A friend is coming to an interview at your company. Give him/her advice using:
If I were you, I’d ….
If I were you, I wouldn’t ….
wearing a suit is a good idea
asking about holidays is a bad idea
finding out about the company is a good idea
preparing some questions is a good idea
arguing about the salary is a bad idea
arriving on time is a good idea
complaining about your last boss is a bad idea
explaining why you want this job is a good idea
2. Give advice and make suggestions
Jane looks very tired.
Bill spends two hours driving to work.
George shouts too much
These new fax machines don’t work.
Their offer is too low.
Our boss doesn’t help the staff enough
The meeting isn’t important for David
Brenda goes home too early.
Janet wants to go to that busy restaurant.
